According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a recoil starter including: a case having a reel supporting shaft; a rope reel having: a tubular shaft portion; an engaging portion; a rope housing groove to house a recoil rope; and a spring housing portion to house a spiral spring; a ratchet axially-slidably arranged outside the tubular shaft portion; a ratchet guide attached to an end of the reel supporting shaft; and a return spring provided between the ratchet guide and the ratchet, wherein an inclined surface and a locking surface are formed on the engaging portion to be engageable with the ratchet, and wherein the inclined surface guides the ratchet toward to be engaged with the driving pulley, thereby rotating the driving pulley and starting the engine, when the rope reel is rotated.
Abstract:
A rotary cutter for a mower has a cord for cutting grass and the like by rotating itself; a reel for housing the cord and feeding the cord while intermittently rotating; a case for housing the reel; a cover for covering the case; and a pressing body protruding from the case. The pressing body is axially movable by being pressed, and intermittently rotating the reel. The reel and the pressing body are integrally constructed. Concave grooves for inserting the cord are provided in the reel in a radial direction and the cord is wound by fitting it to the concave grooves.
Abstract:
A recoil starter includes a base plate that has a bearing portion formed therein and a rotary shaft that is supported by the bearing portion so as to pass through the base plate. A rope reel is rotatably supported at one side of the base plate, and a recoil rope is wound around the rope reel. A recoil spiral spring urges the rope reel to rewind the recoil rope. A damper spring has one end connected to the rotary shaft and the other end connected to the rope reel, and a clutch mechanism is disposed on an end of the rotary shaft at the other side of the base plate. The clutch mechanism transfers a rotational force to an engine.
Abstract:
A recoil starter includes: a rope reel; a cylindrical cam; a coil spring; a reel spindle; an extending cylindrical portion; a recess; a hook; an engaging groove; an inner annular portion; and an outer annular portion, wherein: the extending cylindrical portion is inserted in the inner side of the recess; the coil spring is wound on the outer side of the extending cylindrical portion; the hook is engaged with the engaging groove; an end portion opposite the hook of the coil spring is engaged with the cylindrical cam; the inner annular portion is made flush; and the outer annular portion is made such that a portion corresponding to the engaging groove is formed to have the same height as that of the inner annular portion whereas an opposite side is formed to have a larger height than that of the inner annular portion.
Abstract:
A rotary cutter for a mowing machine includes a cord for mowing grass by rotating, a reel which contains the cord and intermittently rotates to pay out the cord, a case which contains the reel, and a cover which covers the case, wherein the reel includes an upper cam and a lower cam, a stopper is incorporated in the case at a center of a bottom thereof, one end of the stopper is engaged with the upper cam thereby to stop the rotation of the reel, the other end of the stopper is engaged with the lower cam, one end of the cord is engaged with the stopper from outside thereof and guided out of the rotary cutter through a cord guide, and the other end of the cord is guided out of the rotary cutter without touching the stopper.
Abstract:
A recoil starter in which a side face of a rope reel is formed with a ring-like recess portion for containing a damping force storing member, a boss portion of a cam is contained at inside of the ring-like recess portion and the damping force storing member is contained between an inner peripheral face of the ring-like recess portion and an outer peripheral face of the boss portion of the cam, an inner side of the boss portion of the cam is formed with a ratchet mechanism for engaging and disengaging the cam to and from the rope reel, when the rope reel is rotated by traction of the recoil rope, the both members are disengaged from each other and when the rope reel is rotated in a direction of reeling back the recoil rope, the both members are engaged with each other.
Abstract:
A recoil starter enabling a power-driven device to be coupled to a crankshaft of an engine in a state where the recoil starter is mounted to the crankshaft on the same side of the engine as the crankshaft is disposed on. A starter housing is provided on an inside thereof with a reel support shaft which projects coaxially with the crankshaft. A rope reel having a recoil rope wound thereon and a cam, which transmits rotation via centrifugal ratchets to the crankshaft, are rotatably mounted on the reel support shaft while they are rotatingly coupled to each other via a damper spring. An opening is formed in the reel support shaft so as to extend from a distal end thereof near the crankshaft to the outside of the starter housing. A drive shaft of the device is coupled to the crankshaft inside the opening.
Abstract:
A recoil starter capable of readily staring an engine and reducing the number of components and manufacturing costs thereof and reducing a size and weight thereof. The recoil starter is so constructed that a rotational force accumulated in a cushioning and force accumulating means interposed between a rope reel and a cam is transmitted via the cam to a drive pulley, to thereby start the engine. A ratchet mechanism is provided between the rope reel and the cam so as to uncouple the cam from the rope reel when the rope reel is rotated in an engine starting direction and so as to couple the cam to the rope reel when the rope reel is rotated in a direction opposite to the engine starting direction, thus rotating the cam and the rope reel together in said opposite direction.
