摘要: An apparatus and method for ischemic muscle training or recovery provides coordinated blood flow restriction and electrical muscle stimulation. The apparatus includes a blood flow occluding element for restricting blood flow to a target muscle or muscle group in a user, and measuring resting systolic blood pressure (SBP). The apparatus also includes an electrical muscle stimulator including at least one electrode and a control unit which, upon activation, sends low amplitude electric pulses through the target muscle or muscle group forcing the targeted muscle to contract while the blood flow is restricted.

摘要: Provided are populations of polypeptides, wherein each member of the population of polypeptides includes or is an amino sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 5 or SEQ ID NO: 6. Also provided are methods for identifying polypeptides that bind to pre-selected target molecules, which in some embodiments can include providing a population of polypeptides as described herein, contacting the population of polypeptides with a pre-selected target molecule, and identifying a complex comprising at least one member of the population of polypeptides bound to the pre-selected target molecule; and populations of nucleic acid molecules that encode the presently disclosed populations of polypeptides.

摘要: A system for intramedullary preparations comprises a directional reamer including a flexible drive shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, and a cutting head operably connected to the distal end of the flexible drive shaft. The system further includes a means of displacing the distal end of the flexible drive shaft and deflecting the cutting head to selectively shape a medullary canal in a bone. A follower sleeve is also include in the system and has a proximal end and a distal end in the form of a collar, with the follower sleeve being configured to accept the flexible drive shaft. The system additionally includes a reaming plunger that extends through the follower sleeve and is positioned adjacent to the flexible drive shaft such that the reaming plunger engages the collar of the follower sleeve to deflect the cutting head.

摘要: Actuators are components of machines, which move and/or control a mechanism or system. During operation, actuators can experience regeneration events, with the actuator actually generating excess energy (e.g., regenerative energy) which must be stored or dissipated to avoid damaging the power supply. An actuator motor controller is configured to implement field oriented voltage control and flux weakening voltage control without current sensors. Dissipating regenerative energy includes providing a motor controller to command a motor drive to modify an input voltage, or to dissipate regenerative energy in a dump circuit. This command can cause motor windings to dissipate regenerative energy. Systems having a plurality of actuators distribute regenerative energy from one actuator to another. A central controller provides centralized regeneration dissipation control for the plurality of actuators. A power distribution unit includes a dump resistor to dissipate regenerative energy in addition to or instead of in the actuators.

摘要: A device and method for testing the working performance of an anchor rod cable by simulating stratum fracture and separation on the basis of electromagnetic action, applicable to the technical field of testing working performance of anchor rod cables by simulating a tunnel field. The device comprises a top base (1) and a bottom base (2); a plurality of hydraulic vertical columns (3) are provided between the top base (1) and the bottom base (2); the plurality of hydraulic vertical columns (3) are provided thereon with clamping devices, and an electromagnetic block (9) is disposed between two groups of drawing block-shaped clamp holders (4). Using the attraction and repulsion forces of the electromagnetic block (9), the laminated electromagnetic block generates the separating or fracturing effect in a loading process so as to simulate the interaction between surrounding rock and an anchor rod cable test piece (8) in the field and accurately record various performance parameters of a working status of the anchor rod cable test piece (8), thereby providing positive guidance for directing field work.
