Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving data in which a color gamut identifier is included using a synchronization section of an analog image signal are provided. In the method, it is determined whether an analog image signal is a color gamut signal. If the analog signal is a color gamut signal, a color gamut identifier is generated using a synchronization section of the analog image signal, and the analog image signal is transmitted after the color gamut identifier is added to the synchronization section of the analog image signal.
Abstract:
An electrical plug socket has a socket cover which is defined with first plug insertion holes, a socket body which is defined through an upper wall thereof with second plug insertion holes, terminals which are located inside the socket body, and an opening and closing member which is disposed on the upper wall of the socket body below the socket cover in such a way as to open and close the second plug insertion holes. The electrical plug socket further has a locking device which is installed on the opening and closing member to control movement thereof. The opening and closing member and the locking device are configured in such a way as to be actuated by insertion of a plug into the plug socket.
Abstract:
A fluid bearing apparatus in which dynamic pressure generating grooves are subjected to a change in shape to increase the amount of fluid to be introduced into the grooves of a thrust bearing. In the fluid bearing apparatus, in order to introduce an increased amount of fluid into the dynamic pressure generating grooves formed on a side of the thrust bearing which supports a rotating shaft, a fluid inlet of the dynamic pressure generating grooves is shaped with arc portions for the fluid to be easily introduced thereinto. Accordingly, a fluid pressure in the dynamic pressure generating grooves is increased.
Abstract:
An opening device is provided for opening a lid of a tape cassette in a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus which can be constructed to receive a first and second tape cassette having different sizes. The opening device includes first and second opening sections for opening the lid of the tape cassette which has been loaded in the apparatus. The first and second opening sections are integrally formed and disposed on a predetermined position on a main base of the apparatus, thus resulting in a more compact size.
Abstract:
A journal bearing apparatus capable of varying the clearance between a bush which protrudes from the inner surface of a sleeve in which a rotation shaft is inserted and the outer surface of the rotation shaft, in the longitudinal direction of a first dynamic pressure generating groove. Moreover, a journal bearing apparatus is capable of varying the clearance between one end of the rotation shaft and the surface of a thrust bearing, in the diametral direction of a second dynamic pressure generating groove. The clearance becomes wider towards the central part from the ends of the bush, or towards the central part from the edge parts of the surface of the thrust bearing. The shape of the end of the bush or the thrust bearing is preferably a circular arc. Thereby, the fluid pressure on the rotation shaft which faces the first and second dynamic pressure generating grooves is uniform.
Abstract:
A mechanism to move reels and a tape cassette sensing switch, for use in a magnetic recorder which includes: a power generating unit installed on a position of a main chassis; a moving member combined with a bottom surface of the main chassis in such a manner that the moving member can be rectilinearly moved back and forth; a power transmitting unit for transmitting power from the power generating unit to the moving member; a supply reel driver and a take up reel driver respectively installed on the bottom surface of the main chassis in spaced apart relation from each other; reel driving gears respectively combined with and fixed to rotary shafts of the supply and the take up reel drivers; and a reel supporting unit concentrically combined with the reel driving gears on the main chassis and including thereon a supply reel and a take up reel. The reel supporting unit is rotated by a predetermined angle according to the rectilinear movements of the moving member.
Abstract:
A fluid bearing apparatus includes a thrust load supporting portion formed between an external side surface of a fixing shaft and an internal side wall of an opening in a bushing; the surface and wall facing each other. The thrust load supporting portion includes a ball inserting groove formed on the external side surface of the fixing shaft and/or the internal side wall of the bushing and a ball inserted into the ball inserting groove. The upper end portion of the shaft is lower than the upper end portion of the bushing. Since the thrust load is supported by the balls instead of by the upper end portion of the fixing shaft, it is possible to prevent movement of the fixing shaft when the fluid bearing apparatus starts to rotate. The frictional resistance of the upper end portion of the fixing shaft can be reduced when the fluid bearing apparatus starts to rotate and stops its rotation.
Abstract:
An electric motor having a rotor and stator includes a magnetic hollow rotating shaft to which the rotor is fixed. A magnetic cylindrical bearing is inserted into the magnetic hollow rotating shaft such that a radial repulsive force is generated between the magnetic hollow rotating shaft and the magnetic bearing. A first fixed magnetic member is disposed at a top of the magnetic cylindrical bearing, and a rotating magnetic member is disposed at a top of the magnetic hollow rotating shaft such that the magnetic hollow rotating shaft can be supported by axial repulsive force generated between those magnetic members. The magnetic members are vertically adjustable for varying the axial clearance therebetween.
Abstract:
A semi-spherical bearing disposed in a rotor of a motor has a bottom disposed on a horizontal plane and a top and comprising a plurality of grooves, each of the grooves extending from the bottom toward the top and being defined by one end wall and two side walls, all of which are formed on an outer circumference of the bearing, and the end wall being processed at an angle of 85.degree. or more with respect to the horizontal plane.
