摘要： A fitting for coupling ends of insulated conductors includes a sleeve to couple an end of a jacket of a first insulated conductor to an end of a jacket of a second insulated conductor. The sleeve is located between end portions of the insulated conductors. At least one of the ends of the sleeve is angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. The sleeve has a longitudinal opening that extends along the length of the sleeve substantially the distance between end portions of the jackets of the insulated conductors. The longitudinal opening allows electrically insulating material to be filled into the sleeve.

摘要： A system for heating a subsurface formation is described. The system includes a first elongated heater in a first opening in the formation. The first elongated heater includes an exposed metal section in a portion of the first opening. The portion is below a layer of the formation to be heated. The exposed metal section is exposed to the formation. A second elongated heater is in a second opening in the formation. The second opening connects to the first opening at or near the portion of the first opening below the layer to be heated. At least a portion of an exposed metal section of the second elongated heater is electrically coupled to at least a portion of the exposed metal section of the first elongated heater in the portion of the first opening below the layer to be heated.

The method includes providing one or more explosives into portions of one or more wellbores selected for the explosion in the formation. The wellbores are formed in one or more zones in the formation. The explosives are controllably exploded in one or more of the wellbores such that at least some of the formation surrounding the selected wellbores has an increased permeability. One or more heaters are provided in the one or more wellbores.

摘要： An apparatus and method for a portable terminal that adjust sizes of user data displayed on a screen are provided. Requested user data is displayed on a screen of the portable terminal in response to a request from a user. If a key is input, a determination is made as to whether an enlargement/reduction mode is set. If the enlargement/reduction mode is set, a key event associated with the input key is identified. If the key event is a request for enlargement, the displayed user data is enlarged by a preset enlargement ratio and the enlarged user data is displayed on the screen. If the key event is a request for reduction, the displayed user data is reduced by a preset reduction ratio and the reduced user data is displayed on the screen.
