摘要: A computer system boots the system from a bootup-memory-image stored in a nonvolatile memory unit forming part of a main memory device. When the first write access occurs after system operation, the system copies the data of a block of the bootup-memory-image to a readable/writable main memory unit forming another part of the main memory device for each block of the bootup-memory image. The system performs write operation on the copy, and subsequently switches access to an area of the bootup-memory-image to which data has already been copied to access to the copy. A bootup method for a computer system and program recording medium are also disclosed.

摘要: A magneto-optical data recording system comprises magnetic field pulse applying apparatus for applying to a magneto-optic recording medium a magnetic field pulse of a polarity corresponding to code data to be recorded, and apparatus for heating the recording medium in a pulsating manner at a predetermined frequency synchronous with the code data to be recorded. During recording, the magnetic field pulse applying apparatus applies a magnetic field pulse of a polarity corresponding to code data along a track of the recording medium and the heating apparatus continuously heats the recording medium in a pulsating manner at a predetermined frequency synchronous with the code data to thereby directly overwrite the code data. The magnetic field pulse applying apparatus includes a magnetic coil driven by code data from a source of code data (data generator). The heating apparatus includes an optical head which comprises a source of laser beam driven by a laser driver and an optical system which focuses the laser beam from the source of laser beam as a small light spot onto the recording medium.

摘要: There is provided between a concentrate tank and a membrane filter a circulating line which consists of a feed line and a return line. It is also possible to use an ultrafilter as the membrane filter. There is provided a leveling tube connected by respective pipes to the concentrate tank at top and bottom portions thereof, respectively. A buoy floats within the leveling tube and a position of this buoy is detected by means of transparency of the leveling tube itself or photosensors in order to detect a degree of concentration of the culture fluid progressing within the concentrate tank. There may be provided multi-stage circulating lines each connecting the associated concentrate tank to the associated membrane filter so that the culture fluid can be transferred during the process of concentration from the stage of the largest volume treatment to the state of the least volume treatment in order to concentrate the culture fluid more efficiently.
