Abstract: Provided is an optical wavelength conversion device in which heat of an optical wavelength conversion member can be dissipated efficiently while the joint strength between the optical wavelength conversion member and a heat dissipation member is maintained. In the present disclosure, the optical wavelength conversion device includes an optical wavelength conversion member configured to convert the wavelength of incident light; a heat dissipation member which is more excellent in heat dissipation than the optical wavelength conversion member; and a joint portion which joins the optical wavelength conversion member and the heat dissipation member together. The optical wavelength conversion member includes a plate-shaped ceramic fluorescent body and a reflecting film disposed on a heat dissipation member-side surface of the ceramic fluorescent body. The joint portion has a thermal conductivity of 120 W/mK or more. The joint portion has a melting point of 240° C. or higher.

Abstract: A multi-diameter tubular body is cold-forged by forming a large-diameter hole portion in a formed body having a preliminary hole through subjection of the preliminary hole to deep hole forming and by punching out the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion to thereby form a small-diameter hole portion. Since a punch having a central protrusion on its forward end surface is used, an internal flaw is generated by dead metal in the inner circumferential surface of a depression, formed by the protrusion, in the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion. An outside diameter of a protrusion of a deep hole forming punch is rendered smaller than an inside diameter of the small-diameter hole portion to be formed later by punching out the bottom surface of the large-diameter hole portion. As a result, the internal flaw is removed when the small-diameter hole portion is formed.

Abstract: A discharge control apparatus for controlling a flyback power supply circuit which includes a transformer having a primary coil and a secondary coil and performing voltage conversion, and a driver for controlling energization of the primary coil. The power supply circuit supplies electric energy to a plasma reactor. The discharge control apparatus calculates, based on primary current flowing through the primary coil and primary voltage generated in the primary coil, supply energy supplied to the primary coil and regeneration energy which is a portion of the supply energy not used for the discharge in the plasma reactor. The discharge control apparatus controls the power supply circuit based on the calculated supply energy and the calculated regeneration energy. Also disclosed is a method for controlling the flyback power supply circuit.

Abstract: Spark plug has first and second electrodes. First electrode has tip principally made of noble metal and base material principally made of Ni. The tip is joined to the base material through fusion portion. Second electrode faces discharge surface of the tip. The fusion portion has overlap portion where first interface between the tip and the fusion portion and second interface between the base material and the fusion portion overlap in first direction perpendicular to the discharge surface. When viewing cross section which passes through a center of gravity of the overlap portion projected onto virtual surface parallel to the discharge surface and is perpendicular to the discharge surface, noble metal content is greater than 50 mass % at one end portion of the overlap portion in second direction extending along the discharge surface, and Ni content is greater than 50 mass % at the other end portion of the overlap portion.
