Abstract:
A device for preventing electrical shorting between positive and negative terminals of a wiring harness includes a clip securable to conductors of the harness, a wall extending from the clip to be positioned between first and second terminals of the conductors when the clip, and a shield attached to the clip and movable between a first position wherein it blocks contact between a tool and the first terminal while allowing contact between the tool and the second terminal, and a second position wherein it blocks contact between the tool and the second terminal while allowing contact between the tool and the first terminal.
Abstract:
An end-to-end cell connection system for a battery assembly uses a conductive interconnector with an inner portion welded to an end of one cell, a standoff portion contiguous with the ring portion, tabs extending from the standoff portion, with the tabs welded to an end of another cell. By placing an insulator between the interconnector and the one cell, an electrical short is prevented in the event that a longitudinally coupled cell group is jostled. At the cell connections, there is a recess. To hold the cell group in place, the housing has a tab extending into the recess. The tab is at the center so that any dimensional variations are accommodated on each side of the tab. The interconnector also may include a receptacle for a thermistor to obtain a measure of battery assembly temperature. Diverter ribs may be provided in the housing to distribute flow to all cells.
Abstract:
A battery gas discharge system is provided having a floorpan with an outlet and a fastener aperture. The outlet and the fastener aperture are laterally spaced from each other. The system also includes a battery module with a base for resting upon the floorpan. An attachment aperture and a vent aperture are formed through the base. The attachment aperture and the vent aperture are laterally spaced from each other. A gas discharge mechanism defines a passageway for gas discharge between the battery module and the vent aperture. The gas discharge mechanism includes a vent port that is coupled to the vent aperture and sized for receiving discharged gas. The vent port is adapted for mating with and forming a seal about the outlet by securing the base to the floorpan during assembly.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure may include methods, systems, and computer-readable media that enable executing oilfield software on a first computing device; communicably coupling the first computing device with a second computing device, the second computing device comprising a touch interface; receiving input from a user via the touch interface; and causing the oilfield software to perform an action in response to the input. Embodiments of the present disclosure may also include methods, systems, and computer-readable media that enable presenting a result of the action via a second touch interface of a third computing device communicably coupled to at least one of the first and second computing devices.
Abstract:
A battery terminal connector including a pair of U-shaped terminal clamps and an intermediate portion connecting the terminal clamps. Each of the terminal clamps includes a pair of clamp portions between which an associated battery terminal is received. Furthermore, each of the clamp portions defines an opening to receive a fastener. The fastener secures the battery terminal connector to the associated battery terminal.
Abstract:
A battery having a plurality of cell pairs arranged in an array in disclosed. The cells pairs are coupled longitudinally. Sense leads are provided on the ends of cell pairs to obviate providing a sense lead proximate the junction of the cell pair.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions having a light activated antimicrobial material connected to an environmental surface, such as fabric, through a linking moiety and a mediator polymer. Also taught herein are surfaces to which the compositions of this invention are attached to impart antimicrobial activity to those surfaces. The present invention facilitates or makes possible the attachment of certain light activated antimicrobial material such as Rose Bengal dye to a surface to achieve antimicrobial activity.
Abstract:
A linear ball bearing having a guide carriage (2) which is guided on a guide rail (1) in a longitudinally displaceable manner and is mounted in rolling contact on longitudinal sides of the guide rail (1) via balls (3) which are arranged on each longitudinal side in at least two parallel ball rows (4, 5) encircling in endless ball channels (6), each ball (3) of the one ball row (5) together with an adjacent ball (3) of the other ball row (4) being held all round in cage pockets (8) of a common cage piece (7), the cage piece (7) having exactly two cage pockets (8) for one ball (3) each from both ball rows (4, 5), each cage piece (7), as viewed in the running direction of the balls (3), being provided at both ends with convexly curved end surfaces (9) for contact with the end surfaces (9) of adjacent cage pieces (7), which end surfaces (9) extend essentially up to the cage piece sides (10).
