摘要: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cleaning an oil and gas well riser section or assembly on location offshore that includes a larger diameter central pipe and a plurality of smaller diameter pipes that are spaced radially away from the central larger diameter pipe. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for cleaning oil and gas well riser sections wherein a specially configured cap or pair of caps are fitted to the ends of the riser which enable pressure washing cleaning tools (or a camera) to be inserted into and through a selected one of the pipes including either a smaller diameter of the pipes or the central larger diameter pipe and wherein the cap continuously collects spent cleaning fluid and debris, allowing the cleaning process to be done on location without transporting the riser section back onshore.

摘要: Method, apparatus and system for improving navigation using mobile devices by adding previously captured media to navigation maps provided by mobile device. Added media include still images and video clips. Media captured at the same location using various camera orientations are available in an image database. Images in database include metadata indicating location, orientation and other parameters associated with each image. User location and pose are matched against metadata indicating location and camera orientation of captured images. User motion may also be matched to metadata indicating camera motion of stored video clips. Other parameters like lighting, seasonal factors, and tasks of walking, biking or driving may also be matched. User pose may be derived from an accelerometer embedded in the mobile device. Some or all of user parameters desired by user may be directly input to mobile device by user instead of being automatically detected by mobile device.

摘要: A system helps filter and correct video captured and streamed from a mobile device. In particular, the system detects and streams content shown on screens, allowing anyone to stream screen content immediately without needing to develop hooks into external software (i.e. without installing a screen recorder software in the computer). The system can use a variety of user-selectable techniques to detect the screen, and utilizes the mobile device's touchscreen to allow users to manually override detected corners. However, some of these approaches could potentially be applied to other types of content, such as identifying TV screens, appliance LCD screens, other mobile devices' screens, multifunction devices. (e.g. a remote technician could help troubleshoot a malfunctioning MFD by having the end-user point his cellphone to the LCD screen of the MFD).

摘要: A network control system to determine alternative networks for a wireless communication device comprises a processing system and a communication transceiver. The processing system is configured to determine an identifier of a first wireless access node in communication with a first communication network serving the wireless communication device, and process the identifier of the first wireless access node with a network data structure to determine a second communication network for the wireless communication device based on the identifier. The communication transceiver is configured to transfer the network data associated with the second communication network for delivery to the wireless communication device, wherein the wireless communication device is configured to initiate a handoff to a second wireless access node in communication with the second communication network based on the network data associated with the second communication network.

摘要: In one embodiment of the invention, a case for electronic devices is provided. The case has a shell and a rotatable handled rotatably coupled to the shell. The shell is adapted to partially surround an electronic device. The shell includes a first shell portion and a second shell portion adapted to couple to the first shell portion. The first shell portion has a display opening to allow a user to view the electronic device. The shell may include a camera opening to allow images to be captured by the electronic device. The rotatable handle can couple to and decouple from the second shell portion of the shell. The rotatable handle allows the shell to rotate about an axis of rotation. The rotatable handle includes an extendable strap assembly to receive a hand of a user.

摘要: Increasingly people want to maintain a persistent personal presence in virtual spaces (usually via avatars). However, while mobile they tend to devote only short bursts of attention to their mobile device, making it difficult to control an avatar. The core contribution of this IP is to use implicitly sensed context from a mobile device to control avatars in a virtual space that does not directly correspond to the user's physical space. This work allows mobile users to have a presence in a virtual space that matches their environmental conditions without forcing them to configure and reconfigure their virtual presence manually.
