摘要: A lamp has a deformed lamp reflector and a lamp front glass. The deformed lamp reflector is made by deforming an ellipsoid of revolution of a conventional lamp reflector into an aspherical reflection surface rotationally symmetrical with respect to an optical axis. The lamp front glass is obtained by deforming at least one of an incident surface and outgoing surface of a conventional lamp front glass into an aspherical lens surface rotationally symmetrical with respect to the optical axis. A light flux emitted from the center point of an illuminant is reflected by the deformed lamp reflector, and output with a uniform density through all of the outgoing surface of the lamp front lens so that the light flux is condensed at focus point.

In the invention, right and left parallax image data is compressed, the compressed image data is stored in a frame memory, each of compressed image data for a right eye and compressed image data for a left eye, corresponding to the same display gate line, is read and decoded, line by line, and parallax image data for the right and left eyes for one frame are displayed multiple times, as alternating right and left fields, within one frame period.

摘要: A reflective liquid crystal display device having a structure providing high contrast even if there is undesired light. The structure includes a light-guiding plate for receiving, from a light-incident surface, light coming from a light source, and for allowing the light to exit from a bottom surface; a reflective liquid crystal display panel opposed to the bottom surface of the light-guiding plate; and a prism disposed on the side of a top surface of an upper substrate of the liquid crystal display panel. The prism has a surface that is substantially perpendicular to the top surface of the upper substrate, and a tilted surface which is tilted towards a side opposite to the light source from a crest line of the substantially perpendicular surface at a tilt angle with respect to an imaginary surface which passes through the crest line and which is parallel to the top surface of the upper substrate.

A light diffusion plate is made up of the light diffusion layer and the supporting sheet. The screen is made up of the light diffusion plate and a light diffusion plate. Scattering distribution of a scattered wave of light that passes through the light diffusion layer temporally changes.

摘要: A Fresnel lens collimates a light modulated by an image signal and outputs a collimated light. A diffusion member diffuses the collimated light and outputs a diffused light. A driver continually moves the Fresnel lens or the diffusion member on a predetermined trajectory within a plane parallel with a screen.
