A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE (User Equipment). In one embodiment, the method includes the UE being configured with a control resource set (CORESET). The method further includes the UE receiving a Downlink Control Information (DCI) on the CORESET, wherein an index is included in the DCI and the index indicates a time domain resource allocation pattern. The method also includes the UE receiving data in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols determined according to the time domain resource allocation pattern, wherein a range of the time domain resource allocation pattern starts from the first OFDM symbol of the CORESET or after an offset from the first OFDM symbol of the CORESET, and the range of the time domain resource allocation pattern may end across a slot boundary.

A method and apparatus are disclosed for handling beamforming in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a second signal indicating a number of beam sweeping from a cell, wherein there are multiple network nodes in the cell and at least two network nodes of the cell have different beamforming capabilities. The method also includes receiving a first signal from any network node of the cell at multiple time intervals based on the number of beam sweeping.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE for requesting SPS resources for V2X message transmissions in a wireless communication system. The method includes generating a first V2X message for transmission. In addition, the method includes transmitting a first signal to a network node for requesting SPS resources for transmitting the first V2X message and following first V2X messages which are generated subsequent to the first V2X message, wherein the first signal includes an identity used to associate the SPS resources with the first V2X message and the following first V2X messages. Furthermore, the method includes receiving a second signal from the network node, wherein the second signal contains a first information indicating the SPS resources and the identity. The method also includes transmitting the first V2X message and the following first V2X messages according to the SPS resources indicated by the first information.

A method and apparatus for triggering radio bearer release by a relay UE in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes the relay UE connects with an eNB. The method also includes the relay UE establishes a PDN connection for supporting traffic relaying. The method further includes the relay UE establishes a layer-2 link with a remote UE. In addition, the method includes the relay UE creates a radio bearer between the relay UE and the eNB for forwarding data packets between the remote UE and a PDN corresponding to the PDN connection. Furthermore, the method includes the relay UE sends a NAS message to the eNB if a failure of the layer-2 link is detected. And the method includes the relay UE receives a RRC message indicating release of the radio bearer in response to transmission of the NAS message from the eNB.

A method and apparatus are disclosed for updating a beam set of a UE (User Equipment) in a cell of a wireless communication system, wherein a base station applies beam-forming for transmission and/or reception in the cell and there are at least two beams in the cell. In one embodiment, the method includes the base station determines the beam set of the UE. The method also includes the base station monitors an uplink transmission from the UE via the beam set. The method further includes the base station sends a signaling to the UE for triggering at least an aperiodic reference signal transmission if no DM RS associated with the uplink transmission is detected via at least one beam in the beam set. In addition, the method includes the base station updates the beam set according to at least a beam or beams via which the aperiodic reference signal is received from the UE.

A method and device are disclosed for Uu radio bearer to Sidelink (SL) Radio Link Control (RLC) mapping. In one embodiment, the method includes a network node transmitting a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to a relay User Equipment (UE), wherein the RRC message includes a first information indicating a mapping which represents an association between a Uu radio bearer and a SL RLC bearer and wherein the RRC message also includes a second information identifying a remote UE associated with the mapping. The method further includes the network node transmitting an adaptation layer Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to the relay UE, wherein a header of the adaptation layer PDU includes an identity of the Uu radio bearer and a local UE identifier of the remote UE.

In one embodiment, the method includes the UE-to-UE Relay receiving a first PC5-S message from a first UE to modify at least one first link identifier, wherein the first PC5-S message includes a Layer-2 Identity (ID) of the first UE. The method also includes the UE-to-UE Relay transmitting a second PC5-S message to a second UE, in response to reception of the first PC5-S message, to modify at least one second link identifier, wherein the second PC5-S message includes a Layer-2 ID of the UE-to-UE Relay and does not include the Layer-2 ID of the first UE.

In one embodiment, the method includes the UE-to-UE Relay receiving a first PC5-S message from a first User Equipment (UE), wherein the first PC5-S message includes a Layer-2 Identity (ID) of a second UE. The method further includes the UE-to-UE Relay transmitting a second PC5-S message addressed to the Layer-2 ID of the second UE for establishing a PC5 unicast link with the second UE. The method also includes the UE-to-UE Relay receiving a third PC5-S message from the second UE, wherein the third PC5-S message is transmitted by the second UE in response to reception of the second PC5-S message.

A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first UE (User Equipment) to report UE sidelink capability information to a network node. In one embodiment, the method includes the first UE establishing a unicast link with a second UE. The method also includes the first UE receiving a second sidelink capability information of the second UE from the second UE. The method further includes the first UE transmitting a first sidelink capability information of the first UE and the second sidelink capability information to the network node or transmitting a common sidelink capability information to the network node, wherein the common sidelink capability information is derived from the first sidelink capability information and the second sidelink capability information.
