    摘要: The disclosed system assists an operator in dealing with flaws encountered during the spreading of web material to be cut in accordance with a marker stored in a computer memory. Information representing the location of the flaw is processed by a computer in conjunction with the marker information to yield results visually displayed to the operator concerning the seriousness of the fault's location and corrective action to be taken if the flaw does fall at a troublesome spot. The flaw location representation may be made by manual measurements entered into the system by way of a keyboard or may be made semi-automatically through a two-dimensionally encoded pointer. The visual display may give the operator information concerning a patch or concerning stop and restart lines for making a splice or may display a portion of the marker in the vicinity of the flaw. The display may be digital or pictorial and, if pictorial, may be made on a display area separate from the material web or may be projected directly onto the material web.

    摘要: There is provided a method, system and apparatus for cutting a profile, such as a cigar wrapper, from a natural leaf, such as a tobacco leaf, wherein the leaf is spread and supported on a support surface in a random position. Thereafter, a leaf facsimile or image, including the leaf outline and surface imperfections, is developed and at least one cut position for the wrapper is located in an area excluding the leaf outline and surface imperfections. This cut position is recorded and converted to digital data. The wrapper is then cut from the leaf at an actual cut position corresponding to the located cut position determined by the digital data. Also, the facsimile is created by a back lighting arrangement which illuminates color variations and surface imperfections, as well as the leaf outline, so that leaf color variations can be included in the facsimile or image.

    摘要: A reverse geocoding system and method processes a point level dataset and a street segment dataset to determine an address for a particular latitude and longitude of an input point entered into the system. A determination is made if the point level dataset contains a point level data address match to the entered latitude and longitude data within the closest street segment and without crossing the street segment. Any such point level data address match is output. When no such point level data address match is made, the system computes an interpolated address from a range of addresses of the closest street segment in the street segment dataset based on the entered latitude and longitude of the input point in relation to said range of addresses for the closest street segment. The interpolated address from the closest street segment in the street segment dataset is output.
