    Abstract: Systems and methods to identify a query parameter in an incoming flight voice or data communication to respond to a request. A processing system configured to: in response to receipt of a clearance message, decode the clearance message to determine whether the clearance message contains a command instruction or clearance data for a flight, and to present the command instruction to a pilot as notice to execute the command instruction or if available, obtain at least one query parameter from the clearance data to configure in a query operation to present in response to a pilot question about the command instruction. In response to receipt of the voice or data communication, determine further an intent within the voice or data communication of a question or instruction voiced by applying an acoustic model for tagging identified parts about the question or instruction voiced with query parameters in response to the pilot.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle using speech recognition and transcription using text-to-speech for transcription playback with variable emphasis. One method involves analyzing a transcription of an audio communication with respect to the vehicle to identify an operational term pertaining to a current operational context of the vehicle within the transcription, creating an indicator identifying the operational term within the transcription for emphasis when the operational term pertains to the current operational context of the vehicle, identifying a user-configured playback rate; and generating an audio reproduction of the transcription of the audio communication in accordance with the user-configured playback rate, wherein the operational term is selectively emphasized within the audio reproduction based on the indicator.

One method involves identifying an operational objective for an audio communication with respect to the vehicle, determining an expected clearance communication for the vehicle based at least in part on the operational objective, identifying a discrepancy between a transcription of the audio communication and the expected clearance communication, augmenting the transcription of the audio communication using a current operational context to reduce the discrepancy, and providing a graphical indication influenced by the augmented transcription.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle using speech recognition. One method involves automatically identifying a parameter value for an operational subject based at least in part on a preceding audio communication with respect to the vehicle and thereafter recognizing an audio input as an input command, determining a second operational subject associated with the input command, and automatically commanding a vehicle system to implement the parameter value for the operational subject when the second operational subject maps or otherwise corresponds to the operational subject associated with the parameter value. In this regard, the second operational subject may be conveyed by a user enunciating placeholder terminology that maps to the operational subject as part of the input command.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for predicting ground effects along a flight plan. The systems and methods provide a processor executed process including the steps: receiving a flight plan for a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft; receiving terrain and obstacles geospatial data for the flight plan from the database; determining weight of the VTOL aircraft along the flight plan; determining temperature of the environment along the flight plan; determining ground effect data along the flight plan based on the temperature and the weight; based on the terrain and obstacles data, the ground effect data and the flight plan, predict where, along the flight plan, the VTOL aircraft will traverse a ground effect region, thereby providing prediction data; and generating one or more commands to control a system of the VTOL aircraft based on the prediction data.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for guiding a vertical takeoff and landing, VTOL, vehicle to an emergency landing zone. The systems and methods include determining, via at least one processor, candidate landing zone data by interrogating an emergency landing zone database based at least on VTOL vehicle location, the candidate landing zone data representing a list of candidate emergency landing zones. A target emergency landing zone is selected from the list of candidate emergency landing zones based at least on VTOL vehicle related issues including at least one of unanticipated yaw issues, ground effect issues and modified trend vector issues, thereby providing target emergency landing zone data. Guidance for the VTOL vehicle is determined based on the target emergency landing zone data.
