Abstract: A communication method includes: determining a first central unit (CU)-user plane (UP) and a user plane function (UPF) network element that correspond to a quality of service (QoS) flow, where an access network device to which the first CU-UP belongs supports at least two CU-UPs; determining a first packet delay budget (PDB) for transmitting the QoS flow between the first CU-UP and the UPF network element; and sending the first PDB to the access network device, where the first PDB is used by the access network device to schedule an air interface resource. After the CU-UP corresponding to the QoS flow is determined, the PDB of the CU-UP corresponding to the QoS flow may be sent to the radio access network (RAN) device.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided for transmitting packets of a data stream between user equipment. After receiving a first packet from a first user equipment, a user plane function (UPF) forwards the first packet to a second user equipment at a first moment, so that the first packet that arrives at the UPF before the first moment is not forwarded to the second user equipment until the first moment, to support deterministic sending and ensure that a time sensitive communication (TSC) packet is sent at a determined moment, so as to provide deterministic delay assurance for applications such as industrial control and telemedicine.

Abstract: A session processing method related to the field of wireless communications technologies is provided. The method discloses: obtaining, by user equipment (UE), session type information, where the session type information is used to indicate a type of a first session; and when a first application triggers a first service, determining, by the UE based on the session type information, whether a create session request needs to be initiated for the first service. According to the solutions provided in embodiments, before the create session request is initiated, the UE may determine whether to reuse a created session or create a new session. In this way, for a service that can reuse a created session, no new session needs to be created, thereby reducing signaling exchange between the UE and a network side.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a NFV based fault processing method. The method includes: determining a NFVI fault; obtaining self-healing policy information used to indicate whether to perform a self-healing operation on the NFVI fault; and performing the self-healing operation on the NFVI fault when the self-healing policy information indicates that the self-healing operation is to be performed on the NFVI fault. Therefore, time for reporting and making a fault analysis for the infrastructure fault can be saved, the infrastructure fault is rectified as quickly as possible, a fault processing delay is reduced, and system performance can be improved.
