An information transmission method includes: A terminal receives first signaling, where the first signaling includes a first field, a state value of the first field is used to indicate a first spatial relation parameter for receiving a first channel, the state value of the first field is a candidate state value corresponding to the first field, and at least one of the candidate state values corresponds to two or more spatial relation parameters. The terminal obtains one or more target spatial relation parameters in the first spatial relation parameter, and receives the first channel based on the one or more target spatial relation parameters. In this method, the terminal receives the first channel by receiving the first signaling sent by a base station and obtaining a target spatial relation parameter.

A channel state information sending method, a channel state information receiving method, and a device are disclosed, to reduce resource overheads required when a terminal device feeds back CSI to a network device in a scenario of a high precision codebook-based precoding matrix. The method includes: determining, by a terminal device, a precoding matrix W; sending, by the terminal device, a signal including CSI to a network device; obtaining, by the network device, an RI and indication information based on the signal including the CSI; obtaining, by the network device, a PMI2 based on the RI and the indication information; and determining, by the network device, the precoding matrix W based on the rank indicator RI and the second precoding matrix indicator PMI2.

In the method, a terminal device may send first indication information on a first uplink resource based on information about a spatial relation parameter, to indicate that a link failure occurs in a ith cell in N second cells. The information about the spatial relation parameter is information about a spatial relation parameter used to send a channel and/or a signal of a first cell, and the first uplink resource is an uplink resource of the first cell. Therefore, the network device does not need to configure a plurality of uplink resources that are associated with a plurality of reference signal resources of a second cell and that are used to indicate that a link failure occurs in the second cell, thereby reducing resource overheads.
