Abstract: A data communication method and apparatus are provided. The data communication method includes: receiving, by a station (STA), a wake-up packet sent by an access point (AP), where the wake-up packet includes basic service set (BSS) parameter indication information, the BSS parameter indication information includes BSS parameter change indication information or a target parameter of a primary BSS to which a primary transceiver of the STA currently belongs, and the BSS parameter change indication information is used to indicate whether a critical parameter of the primary BSS changes when the primary transceiver of the STA is in a sleep state; and communicating, by the primary transceiver of the STA, with the AP based on the BSS parameter indication information. The embodiments of the present application can be used to effectively ensure that the primary transceiver of the STA successfully communicates with the AP.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a resource scheduling method, which can support reduction of transmission resource overheads in resource scheduling. The method is applied to a wireless local area network, where a next generation protocol followed by the wireless local area network predefines locations of resource units possibly allocated from a to-be-assigned frequency domain resource. The method includes: generating, by a sending end, resource scheduling information, where the resource scheduling information includes a bit sequence to indicate an actual allocation of a resource unit(s) from the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource, and at least some bits in the bit sequence are to indicate whether one or more of said resource unit locations possibly allocated for the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource is\are the actually allocated resource unit(s).

Abstract: A receiving state indication method for an aggregate-media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (A-MPDU) and a receiving device in order to indicate a receiving state of the A-MPDU including a MAC service data unit (MSDU) fragment, where the method includes receiving, by a receive end, the A-MPDU from a transmit end, and sending, by the receive end to the transmit end, an acknowledgement frame indicating a receiving state of the A-MPDU when at least one MPDU in the A-MPDU is obtained by encapsulating the fragment of the MSDU, where the acknowledgement frame includes a fragment indication field and a receiving state field.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application relates to a multi-link communication setup method and a related apparatus. The method includes: a non-AP MLD sends an association request frame on a first link, to request multi-link setup. An AP MLD returns an association response frame on the first link, to notify whether multi-link setup succeeds. The AP MLD sets a second status code field of a multi-link element of the association response frame to a newly defined value, to indicate that a cause why a link is not accepted is that the first link is not accepted. This application is applied to a WLAN system that supports a next generation Wi-Fi protocol of 802.11ax, for example, 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7, or EHT, and other 802.11 series protocols; and for another example, a next generation protocol of 802.11be: Wi-Fi 8.

Abstract: This application provides a communications method and a communications apparatus. A first station in a first multi-link device sends first information to a second multi-link device, where the first information is used to indicate a frequency at which how often a station in a power saving mode in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame. In this way, the second multi-link device may learn about, based on the first information, how often a frequency at which a station in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame, thereby helping the second multi-link device effectively manage a cache service of each station in the first multi-link device and manage a data buffer space.
