摘要: An exhaust gas purification catalyst, excellent in the NOx purification capacity and the HC purification capacity, includes a substrate and a catalyst coating layer formed on the surface of the substrate, wherein the catalyst coating layer comprises the upper and lower layer including a lower layer being closer to the surface of the substrate and an upper layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate. The upper layer of the catalyst coating layer includes Rh, Pd, and a carrier. The lower layer of the catalyst coating layer includes at least one noble metal selected from Pd and Pt and a carrier. 65% by mass or more of Pd in the upper layer exists in a layer up to 50% of the upper layer in a thickness direction from the surface of the upper layer being relatively remote from the surface of the substrate. The ratio of Pd to Rh by mass (Pd/Rh) is 0.5 to 7.0 in the upper layer.

摘要: A catalyst converter includes: a substrate (1) having a cell structure formed of a center area (1A) having the highest cell density, a peripheral area (1C) having the lowest cell density, and an intermediate area (1B) having the cell density between that of the center area and that of the peripheral area; a first catalyst layer formed in the center area (1A); a second catalyst layer formed in the intermediate area (1B); and a third catalyst layer formed in the peripheral area (1C). A length in a longitudinal direction of the second catalyst layer is longer than that of the first catalyst layer. A length in the longitudinal direction of the third catalyst layer is longer than that of the second catalyst layer. A ratio of the length in the longitudinal direction of the first catalyst layer to the length of the substrate is 65% or more.

摘要: An unknown surface shape of a physical object can be extracted with good precision. Image data of a projective image that has been acquired by radiation projection to an object is acquired. Next, a predetermined mesh structure is used to acquire cross-sectional images of the subject from image data of the projective images by reconstruction using tomography. Lattice points constituting the mesh structure are then moved in conformity with the surface shape of the object, based on the cross-sectional image that has been acquired by reconstruction. Reconstruction is carried out again using the mesh whose lattice point positions have been corrected. Movement on the reconstruction of the lattice points is then repeated as many times as required.

摘要: There is provided a surface light source device having a configuration where light sources are arranged on both of a pair of side surfaces of a light guide plate and allowed to independently form nonuniform light emission intensity distributions in which light emission intensity is lower and higher at places closer to and farther from each of the light sources. Light guide control sections controlling guiding of light from light sources are arranged on a reflection surface of a light guide plate. The light guide control section is configured of concave sections, and the concave sections include inclined surfaces facing the light source and inclined surfaces facing the light source, respectively, and the heights of the concave sections increase with increasing distance from the light source. A nonuniform light emission intensity distribution in which light emission intensity is lower and higher at places closer to and farther from the light source is formed by lighting of the light source. As the inclined angles of the inclined surfaces are larger than the inclined angles of the inclined surfaces, an influence of the light guide control section on light from the light source is reduced.

摘要: There is provided a surface light source device capable of making appearance of a boundary between partial lighting areas more natural than related art. In each of unit light-source sections 10 capable of mutually independent lighting, uneven light-emission intensity distributions that are mutually independent are to be formed within a light emission surface. Thus, in the light emission surface of each of the unit light-source sections 10, an arbitrary light-emission intensity distribution is able to be formed. Therefore, by adjusting a light-emission intensity distribution of each of the unit light-source sections 10, the appearance in the boundary between the partial lighting areas becomes more natural than related art.
