摘要： A fuel injector for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine includes a solenoid coil, an armature that can be acted upon by the solenoid coil in a stroke direction in opposition to a first resetting spring, and a valve needle connected to a valve-closure member. The valve needle has a first limit stop for the movable armature, the armature additionally being acted upon by a second resetting spring. A stationary second limit stop is provided for the armature. The second resetting spring acts upon the armature contrary to the stroke direction and, in the resting position, when the solenoid coil is not excited, the second resetting spring holds the armature in position at the second limit stop such that the armature is at a preestablished distance from the first limit stop configured on the valve needle.

摘要： A method is described for operating a fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, particularly for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injector has a magnetic coil, an armature acted upon in a closing direction by a resetting spring, and a valve needle, frictionally connected to the armature, for actuating a valve-closure member which, together with a valve-seat surface, forms a sealing seat. The method includes exciting the magnetic coil with a basic current intensity during an opening phase of the fuel injector, shortly before the end of the opening phase, exciting the magnetic coil with a current pulse that is increased compared to the basic current intensity, and, at the end of the opening phase, switching off the current exciting the magnetic coil.

The fuel injector, has a fuel inlet connection piece for supplying fuel, a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, which is sealed off from the fuel by a seal, and a valve closing body actuatable by the actuator via a valve valve closing body working together with a valve seat surface to form a seal seat. The seal includes an inlet-side gasket, which is arranged between the fuel inlet connection piece and the actuator, and an actuator jacket that is elastically deformable in a longitudinal direction and is connected to the inlet-side gasket.

摘要： A fuel injector has an actuator for generating a lifting movement and a lift translator filled with a hydraulic medium and deformable in the lifting direction, for transferring the lifting movement of the actuator to a valve needle, provision being made for a compensating chamber for the hydraulic medium, the compensating chamber being connected to an interior space of the lift translator via a throttle opening and enclosed by an elastic casing. Thus, temperature-related quasistatic deformations of actuator, lift translator, and/or valve needle can be compensated for by an exchange of the hydraulic medium between the interior space of the lift translator and the compensating chamber, while the comparatively fast lifting movements of the actuator are transmitted to the valve needle essentially without damping.
