    摘要: A disk clamping apparatus for a disk player includes a turntable for receiving a disk, a disk clamper which clamps the disk placed on the turntable, and first and second magnetic bodies which are mounted in the corresponding turntable and the disk clamper and provide a clamping force to the disk by acting a reciprocal magnetic force on the turntable and the disk clamper. The first and second magnetic bodies are opposite to each other and partially overlap each other. In the disk clamping apparatus having the above structure, the variation in a clamping force caused by the variation in thickness of disks, received by the disk clamping apparatus, is very small. Accordingly, clamping and de-clamping of the disks having different thickness can be smoothly performed.

    摘要: An optical pickup assembly having an elastically supported tilt mechanism. The optical pickup assembly includes a bobbin at which an objective lens is mounted and an elastic support member which supports the bobbin in elastic motion with respect to a holder installed at a base. A focus coil and a tracking coil are installed at the bobbin and form a conducting path for driving the objective lens in a focusing direction and a tracking direction. Tilt coils are installed at one side of the bobbin and form a conductive path for driving tilt of the objective lens. A first magnet and a first yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying focus coil and tracking coil. A second magnet and a second yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying tilt coils. A position detecting sensor measures relative inclination of the objective lens with respect to a disk, and a balance member coupled to the bobbin to balance the weight of the tilt coils by applying weight corresponding to the weight of the tilt coils at positions symmetrically opposite to the positions of the tilt coils.

    摘要: An actuator used with an optical pickup includes: a base on which a holder is fixed; a lens holder in which a plurality of installation holes are formed such that a plurality of objective lenses to record and/or reproduce optical discs having different recording densities are installed at different heights; a support member, which movably supports the lens holder, having one end coupled to the lens holder and the other end coupled to the holder; and a magnetic circuit which drives the lens holder in focusing and tracking directions. The plurality of installation holes include a first installation hole in which a first objective lens for at least one type of low density optical disc is installed, and a second installation hole in which a second objective lens for a higher density optical disc than the low density optical disc is installed. When a working distance of the first objective lens for the low density optical disc installed in the first installation hole is represented as WD1, and a working distance of the second objective lens for the high density optical disc installed in the second installation hole is represented as WD2, the first and second installation holes are provided so that the first and second objective lenses are installed to satisfy the Equation: WD1≧WD2, a separation distance between the optical disc and the second objective lens=WD2+α where, α=|WD1−WD2|×(0.1˜1.0). The second installation hole is located in a more outer circumference of the optical disc than the first installation hole.
