摘要: A polymeric material used for 3D printing is preheated, at a first zone in a 3D printer, to a temperature in excess of its glass transition temperature prior to being melted, at a second zone, for incorporation into a build object. This enables the polymer to be processed more rapidly than in the prior art.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a polyolefin foam sheet composition includes extruding a polyolefin sheet, irradiating the extruded sheet to obtain a physically crosslinked sheet, foaming the physically crosslinked sheet with heat to obtain a foamed layer, and skiving the foamed layer to obtain a foam sheet with at least one skived surface. The surface roughness of the skived surface of the foam sheet is different from the surface roughness of an unskived surface.

摘要: Processing methods are described for improving the physical properties of elastomeric materials including elastomeric tubing. The methods include heating tubing in a post-cured step for a specified time and at a specified temperature. The methods also include irradiating the tubing with a desired dose of radiation. Embodiments can include treatment of silicon-based elastomers and/or non-silicon-based elastomers. The improved elastomers can be utilized in pumps.

摘要: A wear-heat-resistant anti-bacterial anti-fouling steel wire framed pipe and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The steel wire framed pipe includes: an anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer, an enhancement layer and a wear-heat-resistant outer layer from inside to outside in turn, wherein: the anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer is made from antifouling and antibacterial composite modified polyethylene; the wear-heat-resistant outer layer is made from wear-resistant cross-linked modified PE-RT; the enhancement layer includes an interlayer and two steel wire gauze layers respectively coating on an inner surface and an outer surface of the interlayer, and the interlayer is respectively bonded with the anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer and the wear-heat-resistant outer layer via hot-melt adhesive. The steel wire framed pipe provided by the present invention has high structural strength, wear-resistance, heat-resistance, and anti-bacterial and anti-fouling properties.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method comprising transporting a conduit and a template through a guide tube; the template being disposed on an outer surface of the conduit between the conduit and the guide tube; and transferring a texture from the template to the conduit as the conduit and the template are transported through the guide tube. Disclosed herein too is an apparatus comprising a guide tube; the guide tube being operative to facilitate a transfer of a pattern from a template to a conduit; a first feed spool and a first take-up spool for feeding the conduit through the guide tube and for taking up the conduit after it has travelled through the guide tube respectively; and a second feed spool and a second take-up spool for feeding the template through the guide tube and for taking up the template after it has travelled through the guide tube respectively.
