摘要: Provided are dynamic cushioning systems (e.g., for use in insoles, orthoses, shoes, etc.), comprising: a fluid chamber (e.g., 100, 200) having at least one flexible fluid reservoir cell in each of a hindfoot and a forefoot portion, and having at least one main fluid transfer channel spanning a midfoot portion and connecting, in fluid exchange communication, the at least one hindfoot fluid reservoir cell with the at least one forefoot fluid reservoir cell to provide a reactive network of hindfoot and/or forefoot fluid reservoir cells in fluid exchange communication. The interconnected multi-reservoir networks provide optimal reactivity and dynamic positional cushioning by controlling fluid transfer rate(s) between and among the fluid reservoir cells. Also provided are methods for making the fluid chambers, along with insoles, orthoses, shoes, and other footwear, etc., comprising same.

摘要: A temperature sensor assembly is described that includes a sensor probe including a probe head and a probe shaft. At least a tip of the sensor probe includes a material with a thermal conductivity proportionality constant greater than stainless steel. A temperature sensor is positioned within the probe shaft adjacent to the tip. A nose piece is positioned on the probe shaft opposite the probe head. The nose piece includes a material with a thermal conductivity proportionality constant greater than stainless steel. The temperature sensor assembly also includes a collar positioned around the probe shaft between the probe head and the nose piece, the collar is capable of rotating relative to the probe shaft during installation of the sensor assembly.

摘要: The invention provides an aqueous bleaching solution for substrate treatment. The aqueous bleaching solution features a source of oxidant and a plurality of optically functional nanoparticles. The optically functional nanoparticles are nanoparticles in the range of about 0.1 nanometers to about 400 nanometers in size. The aqueous bleaching solution may optionally include one or more an oxidant-stable surfactants and optionally, one or more oxidant-stable polymers, and adjuncts. The optically functional nanoparticles are extremely stable in the aqueous bleaching solution and remain substantially suspended in the aqueous bleaching solution due to their extremely small size despite having an average density greater than that of the bleaching solution. The optically functional nanoparticles provide at least one optical functional benefit to the bleaching solution owing to their uniform and stable suspension throughout the solution, including such benefits as uniform light absorption, light and radiation scattering, fluorescent emission, phosphorescent emission, coloration, and visual aesthetic benefits and the like. Further, optically functional benefits include those benefits provided to a substrate or surface treated with the aqueous bleaching solutions whereby the optically functional property is transferred either temporarily or permanently to the substrate or surface following contact with bleaching solutions containing the optically functional nanoparticles.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for location-based information delivery. One system described herein includes a matching server operative to identify a geographic area in which an informational message should be transmitted to subscriber devices located within the area. The geographic area may be a statically defined fixed geographic area, such as a neighborhood, that the matching server identifies utilizing one or more fixed geographic indicators. The geographic area identified by the matching server may alternatively be an ad-hoc variably sized geographic area. The matching server may utilize one or more variable geographic indicators to identify the geographic area. Once a geographic area has been identified, the matching server is operative to transmit an informational message to subscriber devices located within the geographic area. The informational message may contain content relevant to the geographic area.
