    摘要: A control valve is used in connection with a variable displacement compressor that varies the discharge capacity by controlling an inclination of a cam plate located in a crank chamber. The inclination of the cam plate is variable based on crank chamber pressure caused by refrigerant in the crank chamber. Monitor pressure is monitored at a predetermined point in a refrigerant circuit for causing a change in the crank chamber pressure and ultimately varying the discharge capacity. The control valve has a housing, an internal control valve mechanism and an external control valve mechanism. The internal control valve mechanism is located inside the valve housing and has a first valve body and a first reacting member. The first reacting member is connected to the first valve body for reacting to the monitor pressure to cause a change in the crank chamber pressure. The external control valve mechanism is located inside the valve housing and has a second valve body and a second reacting member. The second reacting member is for reacting to an external signal to cause the second valve body to change in the crank chamber pressure. The internal control valve mechanism and the external control valve mechanism operate independently with each other.

An air conditioning switch turns the air conditioning system on. A temperature detector detects the temperature in a compartment. A control valve controls the displacement of the compressor such that the pressure difference detected by the pressure difference detector approaches a target value. A computer determines the target value. The computer changes the target value, depending on the detected temperature. The computer limits the target value to a target value limit. After a predetermined time expires from when the air conditioning switch is turned on, the computer changes the limit. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be promptly and reliably changed.

    摘要: A control valve is used for a cooling apparatus having a compressor including a displacement variation mechanism and an external refrigerant circuit connected to the compressor to form a cooling circuit. The discharge displacement of the compressor is regulated by controlling a control pressure, which acts on the displacement control mechanism. The control valve has a housing and an internal passage. The internal passage includes a valve chamber defined in the housing. A valve body is located in the valve chamber and controls the opening degree of the internal passage. A first pressure sensing structure senses the differential pressure between two pressure monitoring points in the cooling circuit, that is, a primary pressure, and transmits a force corresponding to the primary pressure to the valve body. A second pressure sensing structure senses a secondary pressure, which is different from the primary pressure, and applies the secondary pressure to the valve body. The valve body is positioned in the valve chamber by a combination of forces corresponding to the primary pressure and the secondary pressure, and the opening degree of the internal passage is controlled accordingly.

    摘要: A compressor having a crank chamber in which a large amount of lubricating oil is constantly maintained. The compressor includes a pressurizing passage through which refrigerant gas flows from a discharge chamber to the crank chamber. A displacement control valve varies the displacement of the compressor by adjusting the flow in the pressurizing passage thereby changing the pressure in the crank chamber and altering the inclination of a swash plate. The compressor further includes a bleeding passage. An oil separator is arranged in the bleeding passage to separate lubricating oil from the refrigerant gas flowing through the bleeding passage. The oil separator and the crank chamber are connected to each other by a recovery passage, through which the separated lubricating oil is returned to the crank chamber, and a pressurizing passage. A venturi tube is employed to help transfer oil from the oil separator to the crank chamber.

    摘要: A displacement control valve included in a variable displacement compressor. The compressor includes a fluid passage for connecting a crank chamber to a discharge chamber. The control valve includes a valve chamber connected to the crank chamber through the fluid passage, a valve hole connected to the discharge chamber through the fluid passage, and a valve body located in the valve chamber. A bellows influences the valve body through a pressure sensitive rod in accordance with suction pressure. A solenoid includes a fixed iron core and a plunger arranged in a plunger chamber. The plunger urges the valve body through a solenoid rod by a force determined by the level of electric current supplied to the solenoid. The fixed iron core, which is located between the valve chamber and the plunger chamber, includes a guide hole for receiving the solenoid rod. An annular passage for connecting the valve chamber to the plunger chamber is formed between the guide hole and the solenoid rod. Accordingly, the pressure of the crank chamber is applied to the plunger chamber through the valve chamber and the annular passage. In this control valve, the valve body has desirable operating characteristics without relying on parts having precise dimensions.
