    摘要: A method of and apparatus for continuously checking a CMOS SRAM memory system. Each memory cell has a bistable circuit for retaining the state of the cell, along with a totally redundant bistable circuit. Added circuitry provides continuous comparing of the binary state of the bistable circuit and the redundant bistable circuit within the memory cell. This testing is performed at a low level within the memory cell eliminating the power dissipation and size requirements associated with additional drivers. An error line is shared amongst a number of memory cells. By continuously monitoring in this manner, the time of failure as well as the fact of failure can be determined.

    摘要: A barrier vapor control system includes a seal inside an automobile filler pipe for engaging the fuel delivery conduit of a pump nozzle to prevent the escape of hydrocarbon vapors out of the filler pipe into the atmosphere while the fuel tank is being refilled. A vapor recovery conduit downstream of the seal carries the vapors displaced by filling the fuel tank to a cannister that contains a scrubbing agent. A vacuum accumulator and a vacuum pump draw fresh air and the vapors from the fuel tank through the cannister to remove hydrocarbon vapors from the effluent vapors of the fuel tank.

    摘要: A method of forming a photovoltaic cell module uses a cell press having a table and a plate that is spaced from and moveable relative to the table. The method includes supporting the cell with the plate between the plate and the table. A substrate and a tie layer disposed on the substrate are introduced between the cell and the table with the substrate supported by the table and with the tie layer facing the cell. One of the cell and the table are moved toward the other until the cell contacts the tie layer. A vacuum is applied between the cell and the tie layer to evacuate the space between the cell and the tie layer as the cell contacts the tie layer. This evacuation eliminates the possibility of air bubbles being formed between the cell and the tie layer as the cell contacts the tie layer.

    摘要: An ambulatory repeater for use in automated patient care is presented. A local memory store includes a cryptographic key, sensitive information, and physiological measures. The cryptographic key is uniquely assigned to the implantable medical device prior to implant of the implantable medical device into a patient. The sensitive information is preencrypted under the cryptographic key and physiological measures are measured by the implantable medical device. An authentication module is in receipt of the cryptographic key. A permissions module confirms authorization of an external data processing device against the cryptographic key. A decryption module decrypts the sensitive information with the cryptographic key into decrypted information. A processor is operatively coupled to the local memory store. A communications module exchanges the decrypted information and the physiological measures with the external data processing device over a wireless interface contingent upon the authorization confirmation. An internal power supply supplies power to the foregoing components.

An interface is provided over which to retrieve patient data recorded and transiently staged by a medical device monitoring physiological measures of a patient.     摘要: A system and method for modifying the hardware instruction set of an instruction processor is disclosed. The invention utilizes one or more bits of an instruction opcode and one or more programmable bits stored within the instruction processor to generate a branch address. The branch address is then used to address a storage device such as a microcode RAM to retrieve one or more microcode instructions that control execution of the instruction opcode. Address generation is controlled by selecting a previously unused instruction opcode, then modifying the programmable bits as necessary to generate a desired branch address. By loading modified microcode instructions at the branch address, instruction execution can be modified without changing the hardware design.
