摘要: It is made possible to maintain the security of one electronic device to which a plurality of other electronic devices are capable of being connected. To accomplish this, a notebook-type personal computer has an internal ROM storing ID information specific to this personal computer. The notebook-type personal computer is folded up and inserted into a docking station through an insertion port so as to be electrically connected to the docking station and rendered capable of executing processing that utilizes the resources of the docking station. The docking station has an internal non-volatile memory storing the IDs of notebook-type personal computers that are allowed to use the docking station. When a notebook-type personal computer is inserted into and connected with the docking station, use of the docking station is not allowed if the ID of this notebook-type personal computer has not been stored in the docking station.

摘要: An operating system is constructed, and optimized in a given environment, for use in an image processing system that includes a first electronic device capable of operating independently and having a standard input/output unit, and a second electronic device which, when the first electronic device has been connected thereto, extends the functionality of the first electronic device and is capable of being used instead of the standard input/output unit to perform operations. To accomplish this, a foldable notebook-type personal computer is folded up and inserted into a docking station through an insertion port so as to be electrically connected to the docking station. The notebook-type personal computer has a CPU for sensing the resources of the personal computer and the resources of the docking station and starting up the operating system upon selecting the optimum resources sensed.

摘要: An imaging device includes: a sensor unit that is arranged at a predetermined position inside a casing, and that images a subject outside the casing through an opening portion, with a part of an imaging region, while imaging a reference chart with another part of the imaging region; and a light absorption member that is arranged in an optical path of light from a illumination light source toward a specular-reflection position from which specular-reflection light of the illumination light source is entered to the sensor unit, in the imaging range. The light absorption member has at least a first surface on which light from the illumination light source toward the specular-reflection position is irradiated, and a second surface that faces to the first surface, and reflected light that has been reflected on the first surface and then on the second surface is further directed toward the first surface.

摘要: An image processing apparatus for supporting imaging diagnosis of an eye is provided. A layer boundary of a retina region is detected from a tomographic image. A position where the detected layer boundary intersects with an upper or lower limit position of the image in the depth direction of the tomographic image is determined as a dividing position. The tomographic image is divided at the determined dividing position by a scan line in the depth direction of the tomographic image. Subsequently, whether the detection is a false detection is judged for each divided region. An average density value of the image outside the retina region according to the detected result is calculated for each divided region, and the detection in the divided region is judged to be a false detection if the average density value is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A saddle-type vehicle has an engine-fastening structure which stabilizes a seating face contact between a collar and a vehicle body frame on one side, and between the collar and an engine on the other side. The vehicle includes a vehicle body frame having an engine-supporting portion, and an engine block having a female threaded portion formed therein for alignment with the engine-supporting portion. The collar is interposed between the engine-supporting portion and the engine block. The engine-supporting portion of the frame, the collar and the engine side female threaded portion are fastened together by a bolt. A gap is provided at least at locations between the collar and the bolt which oppose a boundary between the collar and the engine-supporting portion, and another boundary between the collar and the engine side female threaded portion.
