摘要: Prosthesis for implantation in the ascending aorta comprising a tubular body made of biocompatible graft material, a cuff at the proximal portion of the tubular body for biasing pressure onto a sino-tubular junction and that is configured to conform to the junction. A stent assembly can also be used to the prosthesis to bias pressure on the wall of a dissection to substantially deflate a false lumen.

摘要: A method for treating erectile dysfunction in a subject includes providing an expandable support member for engaging a wall of a blood vessel. The expandable support member includes at least one electrode connected with the expandable support member and arranged to selectively deliver electric current to modulate the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The expandable support member includes and an insulative material attached to at least a portion of the expandable support member for isolating blood flowing through the vessel from the electric current delivered by the at least one electrode. The expandable support member is implanted intravascularly so that at least a portion of the expandable support member is positioned substantially adjacent a desired location where modulation of the ANS is effective to improve erectile function. After implanting the expandable support member, electric current is delivered to the at least one electrode to effect a change in the ANS.

摘要: A stent graft leg extension (10) to extend from a bifurcated aortic stent graft into an iliac artery. The stent graft has a tubular body. (12) of a biocompatible graft material and a plurality of self-expanding stents (14) joined to and supporting the tubular body. An uncovered tubular self-expanding stent assembly (26) extends from a first end of the tubular body and is fastened thereto. The uncovered tubular self-expanding stent assembly (26) provides a smooth transition from the leg extension into the iliac artery to reduce the chance of kinks causing problems in the leg extension.

摘要: An apparatus for renal neuromodulation includes an expandable support member having a main body portion for engaging a wall of a blood vessel proximate a renal vasculature and at least one electrode connected with the main body portion. The at least one electrode is arranged to selectively deliver electric current to a desired location where modulation of the sympathetic nervous system is effective to alter renal function. The apparatus further includes an insulative material attached to at least a portion of the main body portion for isolating blood flow through the vessel from the electric current delivered by the at least one electrode.

摘要: A modular stent graft assembly (10) for repairing a ruptured abdominal aorta aneurysm (90) and having an aortic section tubular graft (12) and an iliac section tubular graft (14). The aortic section graft has a proximal attachment stent (32) thereon for suprarenal attachment of the assembly (10) to the aorta. A proximal end portion (50) of the iliac section graft (14) underlies the distal end portion (28) of the aortic graft (12) and presses outwardly thereagainst forming a a friction fit, at a telescoping region (64). The assembly (10) can be selected from an inventory (300) containing a set of delivery systems (100) of four size aortic section grafts (12) and a set of delivery systems (200) of four size iliac section grafts (14), that together accommodate a large majority of aneurysm sizes, and delivery systems (250) containing four standard sizes of occluders (80).

摘要: A method and apparatus for generating a three-dimensional shape of an artery comprising the step of obtaining at least one angiographic X-ray image of an artery cross section, so that there are lines that define the walls of the artery which have data representing X-ray intensity that can be used to determine artery thickness; gathering the data and inputting that data into a computer; using the data to create a three-dimensional image of the artery.

摘要: A delivery system for an endoluminal device including an introducer, the introducer having a distal end intended to remain outside a patient in use and a proximal end. A stent graft having a first and second end is retained upon the introducer, the stent graft defining a fenestration disposed through a wall of the stent graft between the first and second end. A valve arrangement is disposed within an interior lumen of the stent graft about the fenestration. A retention system including a trigger wire engages and retains the valve arrangement away from the fenestration. The fenestration is in fluid communication with the interior lumen of the stent graft.
