Abstract:
The present invention relates to compounds capable of acting as androgen receptor antagonists, pharmaceutical formulations containing the same, and methods of use thereof. Such uses include, but are not limited to, use as antitumor agents, particularly for the treatment of cancers such as colon, skin and prostate cancer and to induce androgen receptor antagonist activity in a subject afflicted with an androgen-related affliction. Examples of androgen-related afflictions include, but are not limited to, baldness, hirsutism, behavioral disorders, acne, and uninhibited spermatogenesis wherein inhibition of spermatogenesis is so desired.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to the measurement of stress-strain relationships in thin films using substantially flat, parallel test surfaces with minimal width. This invention is further directed to the measurement of stress-strain relationships in thin films at controlled temperatures and at high strain rates above 100% per second.
Abstract:
Intellectual property Exchange, its website www.IPEXL.com, consists of three separate exchanges, namely, intel-lectual property Stock Exchange, intellectual property Index Exchange and intellectual property Portfolio Exchange. Intellectual property Stock Exchange creates a market, which enables buyers and sellers to efficiently and reliably trade intellectual property stocks and licenses at fair market price. Intellectual property Stock Exchange itself is an ideal valuator for intellectual property assets. Intellectual property Index Exchange trades futures and options of IPEXL indices. In addition, intellectual property units trust and bonds will be marketed in the intellectual property
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellets, which comprises passing a solution of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer through a die plate of an extruder and cutting into pellets while cooling the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellets by a coagulating fluid under flowing, and then charging into a solid-liquid separating device to separate the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellet. According to the method of the present invention, it can produce pellets continuously in a stable manner and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellets having uniform size and shape can be obtained.
Abstract:
A multi-functional calendar structure includes a calendar made up of a set of upper and lower layers wherein the upper layer has week elements, day elements, and month elements respectively marked at the front face thereon, and a plurality of empty elements for recording important occasions or favorable/forbidden events in the month sequentially arranged at the bottom of the front face thereon. Each of the day and empty elements is provided with a set of top and bottom dotted tearing lines, a set of transversely U-shaped left and right cut areas disposed at both adjacent edges of the top/bottom dotted tearing lines thereof, an oblique cut opening defining the lower section of the left cut area thereof, and an adhesive portion properly coated at the reverse face thereon and limited within the left/right cut areas thereof. The lower layer is also provided with identical day and empty elements in corresponding positions relative to that of the upper layer thereof. Therefore, the day/empty elements with memo recorded thereon can be easily detached from the upper layer to serve as notes for easy carry outside, while identical copies of the memo can be left on the corresponding day/empty elements of the lower layer for further reference by other people. Besides, via the adhesive portions thereof, the note can be easily attached to an obvious position in cars or the offices as a reminder, efficiently providing a multi-functional calendar thereby.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a transmit/receive circuit arrangement wherein a transceiver circuit including a transmit/receive switch is fabricated on an integrated circuit chip. A matching network is wholly disposed off-chip relative to the integrated circuit chip. In embodiments, at least a portion of the matching network is formed off-chip and a portion of the matching network is formed on-chip.
Abstract:
A roll shaft structure is provided for fixing a first roll or a second roll. The roll shaft structure includes a shaft body, a first ring and a second ring. The diameter of the shaft body is equal to the inner diameter of the first roll. The diameter of each of the first ring and the second ring is equal to the inner diameter of the second roll. When the shaft body penetrates through the first roll, the shaft body is contacted with the inner wall of the first roll, so that the first roll is fixed on the roll shaft structure. Whereas, when the shaft body penetrates through the second roll, the first ring and the second ring that are fixed on the shaft body are contacted with the inner wall of the second roll, so that the second roll is fixed on the roll shaft structure.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes self-biasing radio frequency circuitry. In some aspects a radio frequency (RF) signal is amplified via a circuit having a first transistor configured to source current to an output of the circuit and a second transistor configured to sink current from the output of the circuit, and another signal is provided, without active circuitry, from the output of the circuit to a gate of the first transistor effective to bias a voltage at the output of the circuit. By so doing, the output of the circuit can be biased without active circuitry which can reduce design complexity of and substrate area consumed by the circuit.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus of operating a primary-side-regulation power converter at both continuous current mode and discontinuous current mode are provided. The apparatus includes a switching circuit, a signal generator, a correlation circuit, and a feedback modulator. The signal generator generates a half signal and a second sampling pulse in response to a switching signal. The correlation circuit receives the half signal, the second sampling pulse and a switching-current signal for generating a modulating current. The feedback modulator modulates a feedback signal in response to the modulating current, a detection signal and the switching signal. The detection signal obtained from a transformer is correlated to an output voltage of the primary-side-regulation power converter. An on-period of the half signal is half of an on-period of the switching signal. The switching-current signal is sampled at a falling-edge of the half signal.
