摘要: A method which regulates a power supply is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, the method includes sensing an excess control current through a control terminal with a control current sensor circuit. A transistor is switched with a control circuit in response to the control current sensor circuit and an oscillator that is coupled to a trim circuit, which is trimmed during manufacture of a circuit, to regulate the output of a power supply. A current through the transistor is limited with a current limit circuit that is coupled to the trim circuit, which is trimmed during manufacture of the circuit. A maximum deliverable power value of the power supply is determined by said trimming of the trim circuit during manufacture of the circuit.

摘要: A system for providing highly pressurized raw fuel to a pressure reactor. The system includes an inlet for receiving the raw fuel and a roller system communicating with the inlet. The roller system includes a plurality of independent rollers arranged in two converging planes. The rollers of the roller system successively compress the raw fuel as the raw fuel passes through the roller system between the rollers, such that the fuel is highly pressurized when it reaches an output end of the roller system. An outlet is located adjacent the output end of the roller system to dispense the pressurized raw fuel to the pressure reactor.

摘要: Computer-implemented methods for managing software installed on a computer are provided. A first region of an interface displays a selection of software information views, including installed software, running software, and software updates. Selecting a view causes a second region of the interface to display the view, including a list of software. Selecting one of the pieces of software displays additional information about the software in a third region of the interface. A fourth region of the interface displays commands associated with the selected software information view. User-friendly names are used throughout the interface.

摘要: A gasifier system is provided that includes a gasification chamber spool that has a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) liner adapted to form a solidified slag protective layer on an interior surface of the liner from molten slag flowing through the gasification chamber spool. The gasification system additionally includes a heat exchanger (HEX) quench spool that also includes a CMC liner adapted to form a solidified slag protective layer on an interior surface of the liner from molten slag flowing through the HEX quench spool. Additionally, the HEX quench spool includes a parallel plate HEX core having a plurality of CMC panels. The CMC panels are adapted to form a solidified slag protective layer on exterior surfaces of each respective CMC panel from molten slag flowing through the HEX quench spool. Furthermore, each CMC panel includes a plurality of internal coolant channels adapted to exchange sensible waste heat from the hot product flowing through the HEX quench spool with a coolant flowing through the internal coolant channels. The sensible waste heat absorbed by the coolant is recovered by the gasification system by utilizing the heated coolant in various operational phases of the gasification system.

摘要: A combustor for a gas powered turbine which employs a heat exchanger and a catalyst to combust a fuel without the emission of undesired chemical species. A gas powered turbine requires expanding gases to power the turbine blades. Fuel is combusted to produce the required gases. A catalyst is employed to lower the combustion temperature of the fuel. The catalyst is placed on a set of tubes in the heat exchanger such that a portion of the thermal energy may be transferred to the air before it engages the catalyst. After encountering the catalyst, the combusted fuel increases the temperature of the air to an auto-ignition temperature so that no other ignition source is needed to combust additional fuel.
