摘要: The present device is a fluid bed regenerative thermal oxidizer configured to minimize dead spaces within it and eliminate the need for complex valve systems, which are typically required to move treated and untreated air across fixed beds. The present device can be a fluid bed regenerative thermal oxidizer comprising a vertical stack having a combustion chamber near its interior center and desorber shelves located within the vertical stack above the combustion chamber and adsorber shelves located within the vertical stack below the combustion shelves. Ceramic spheres can be used as heat sinks that flow from the desorber shelves, around the combustion chamber and onto the adsorber shelves and then back to the desorber shelves. In this way heat from the combustion can be captured by the heat exchange material on the desorber shelves and released to preheat untreated air on the adsorber shelves.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for torrefaction of biomass and combustion of generated torrefaction gases. The torrefaction gases released from the biomass during the torrefaction reaction are withdrawn from the reactor and into a first burning zone. A secondary stream of air is introduced to the first burning zone to combust the torrefaction gases whereupon hot flue gases are obtained. Part of the hot flue gases are directed to a mixing unit. The rest of the hot flue gas is directed to a second burning zone for complete combustion of the flue gases. The fully combusted flue gases obtained in the second burning zone are directed to a heat recovery unit where the temperature of the flue gas is decreased. Part of the cold flue gases are directed to the mixing unit where it is mixed with the hot flue gases such that a stream of cooled flue gases is obtained. The stream of the cooled flue gases are diverted into the torrefaction reactor for direct heating of the biomass.

摘要: A radiant tube heater with a burner assembly, a radiant tube assembly and a combustion air pre-heater, wherein the burner assembly comprises: a burner fuel nozzle; a plenum chamber and a pre-mixer chamber; the plenum chamber having a combustion air inlet; wherein in use: combustion air flows from said plenum chamber through an orifice to said pre-mixer where said air, is mixed with burner fuel entering said pre-mixer through said nozzle prior to being combusted at a burner head; said pre-mixer being at least partly located within said radiant tube assembly; and where in use at least part of the combustion air supplied to said plenum is preheated in said air pre-heater using residual sensible heat of the hot combustion gas products of the heater.

The second heat storage medium is formed from one or more honeycomb blocks, which include a body made in one-piece manner of a plastics material and incorporating a plurality of parallel flow channels separated by channel walls, wherein the plastics material includes a plastic containing virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a fraction of ca. 80% by weight or more and optionally a high performance polymer differing from the PTFE as a fraction of ca. 20% by weight or less.

摘要: The present invention relates to a combustion apparatus capable of reducing the combustion load of a burner and improving the combustion efficiency thereof. 摘要: A condensing heat recovery steam generator (cHRSG) includes a main stack for an exhaust hot gas main flow, a bypass stack for allowing a fraction of exhaust hot gas to bypass the exhaust hot gas main flow, and a heat pump. The cHRSG includes a primary water circuit, a secondary water circuit, and a tertiary water circuit. The cHRSG additionally includes a feedwater line, a first heat exchanger for providing heat exchange between the feedwater line and the secondary water circuit, and a second heat exchanger for providing heat exchange between the primary water circuit and the tertiary water circuit. In the cHRSG, latent heat is partially recovered from said exhaust hot gas circulating in the bypass stack through the second heat exchanger and additional heat is extracted in the tertiary water circuit by said heat pump, contributing to a preheating performed in a preheater of the primary water circuit.

摘要: A plurality of independently flow rate-controlled flows of fuel may be preheated at a heat exchanger (or both oxidant and fuel at separate heat exchangers) by heat exchange with a hot shell-side (heat transfer) fluid. The separate flows of hot fuel are directed to associated separate burners where they combust with flows of fuel to produce hot combustion gases. The hot combustion gases are used to preheat the hot shell-side fluid at a recuperator or regenerator.
