    摘要: A radio-communication device performs processing in a communication environment in which an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation method is used. The radio-communication device includes a signal-reception unit that receives a MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) signal, a data-decoding unit that decodes the MIMO signal, and a data-processing unit that processes data decoded by the data-decoding unit. The radio-communication device also includes a format-determination unit that determines, based on a relative phase difference between a previous packet field and a subsequent packet field adjacent to the previous packet field, a packet format of the MIMO signal. Further, the radio-communication device includes a control unit that stops an operation of the data-decoding unit when the data-processing unit does not support the packet format, which is determined by the format-determination unit. The operation is performed in a field that comes after a field at which the format-determination unit determines the packet format.

At least one communication station runs in an interference avoidance operation mode, operates a radar wave detection section, and fulfills the obligation to issue instructions for radar wave detection and DFS for an approximately predetermined period of time. After the lapse of the approximately predetermined period of time, another communication station switches to the interference avoidance operation mode and assumes the obligation to issue instructions for radar wave detection and DFS. In other words, two or more communication stations sequentially run in the interference avoidance operation mode in a time sharing manner. Therefore, the average power consumption of the communication stations decreases.

    摘要: A monoconical antenna comprises: a substantially conical concavity formed in one end face of a dielectric; a radiation electrode provided on the surface of the concavity; and a ground conductor provided in proximity to and substantially in parallel with the other end face opposite the one end face of the dielectric. The monoconical antenna is so constituted that electrical signals are fed to between the near vertex region of the radiation electrode and the region of the ground conductor. The half-cone angle α of the substantially conical concavity formed in the one end face of the dielectric is determined by a predetermined rule corresponding to relative dielectric constant ∈r. Thus, the quality of wideband characteristics inherent in the monoconical antenna can be sufficiently maintained, and further size reduction can be accomplished by dielectric loading.
