摘要: In a method or an apparatus for adequately securing a predetermined distance of a spark discharge gap of a spark plug by means of an image data processing, the image data taken by a camera are processed in a manner that a measurement is made on the image data along each of a plurality of measurement lines nearly parallel to each other connecting the center and ground electrodes so as to cover an entire range of a width length of the center electrode in order to obtain a plurality of values of the distance of the spark discharge gap along the measurement lines.

摘要: To improve the accuracy of the automatic adjustment of a spark plug and the adjustment of the eccentricity of a multiple-electrode spark plug, a spark plug holder 2 for supporting and fixing a lower portion of the multiple-electrode spark plug 1 and a positioning device 3 for supporting and positioning an upper portion of the multiple-electrode spark plug 1 are provided to an adjustor for automatically regulating the gap and the eccentricity of the multiple-electrode spark plug having a center electrode and at least one ground electrode. A projector 4 projects light to the multiple-electrode spark plug 1 from above the positioning device 3. A CCD camera 5 produces images of the spark gap/eccentricity of the multiple-electrode spark plug 1. An image processor 6 executes image processing for inputting the images from the CCD camera 5 and determining the spark gap/eccentricity. A hammering device 7 conducts a hammering operation for imparting a predetermined impact working pressure to the ground electrode on the basis of the spark gap/eccentricity. The image processing and the hammering operation are repeated until the spark gap/eccentricity are below predetermined values, respectively, so as to automatically regulate the spark gap/eccentricity.

A 3-terminal oscillating element has a square plate-like piezoelectric body, first and second electrodes provided on one surface of the piezoelectric body and a common electrode provided on the other surface of the piezoelectric body. The piezoelectric body is polarized in one direction between the first and common electrodes and in the opposite direction between the second and common electrode. The 3-terminal oscillating element, when provided in place of a combination of 2-terminal oscillating element and two externally provided capacitors C.sub.1 and C.sub.2 in a Colpitts circuit, substantially satisfies the following equations: ##EQU1## wherein C.sub.01 is an electrostatic capacitance between the first electrode and the counter electrode, C.sub.02 is an electrostatic capacitance between the second electrode and the counter electrode, and n is an transformation ratio of an ideal transformer; and ##EQU2## wherein S.sub.1 and S.sub.2 are areas of first and second electrodes, respectively.

摘要: A read operation control system is included in an electronic cash register for checking purposes. The actual read operation is not conducted until the operator introduces numeral data indicating the cash amount contained in a drawer case of the electronic cash register. The thus introduced numeral data is compared with accumulated data stored in a memory section of the electronic cash register, the accumulated data representing the total cash amount registered into the electronic cash register. The difference between the introduced numeral data and the accumulated data is calculated, and the calculation result is printed out onto a check list.

摘要: An electronic cash register includes a synthetic speech sound generation system for providing an audible announcement related to a bargain article of the present day and a next service day. The synthetic speech sound generation system is activated when a total key is actuated to complete one set of registration of transaction data assigned to one customer. The synthetic speech sound generation system is alternatively actuated at preselected times. The next service day information is also applied to a printer system for printing out the next service day on a receipt slip. The bargain article to be announced and the date information of the next service day are preset through the use of function keys and numeral keys included in the electronic cash register.
