Abstract:
A light emitting diode (LED) operating device comprises an LED module and an operating unit. The LED module, including light emitting diodes to emit incoherent radiation, is connected in releasable manner to the operating unit by a connector. The operating unit incorporates a power supply and a controller to provide the LEDs with electrical power. Sensors in the operating unit and the LED module record operational parameters of the operating device, which are used together with characteristic parameters stored in an electronic memory device, to record and control the emission characteristic of the LED module.
Abstract:
A filter has a housing with cylindrical wall having a first end face and a second end face. The housing has an end wall that closes of the first end face. A filter insert is arranged in the housing. A lid is attached to the cylindrical wall and closes off the second end face. The housing has two layers of different plastic materials, wherein the different plastic materials have different ductility and in particular different hardness. The cylindrical wall has elements that provide a positive-locking connection of the two layers in the axial direction of the housing.
Abstract:
A multi-chamber installation (1) treats objects under vacuum. An evacuation system (5) is connected to a plurality of chambers (2, 3, 4). To reduce the complexity of the evacuation process, a forepump (5) has several stages (11, 12, 13). Each of said stages is connected to one of the chambers (2, 3, 4).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved process for preparing 2-haloacyl-3-aminoacrylic acid derivatives and pyrazole-4-carboxylic acids and derivates thereof obtainable from it.
Abstract:
Trifluoromethyl-substituted biphenylcarboxylic acids are prepared by converting methyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles into the corresponding trichloromethyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles, converting the trichloromethyl group thereof to a trifluoromethyl group and thus obtaining trifluoromethyl-substituted biphenylcarbonitriles, and preparing the corresponding carboxylic acids therefrom by hydrolysis. A number of intermediates arising during this are novel compounds.

Abstract:
An illuminated optical magnifying device with an optical focusing unit that can produce a magnified image of an object to be observed and with an illumination device whose light is at least partially applicable for illuminating the object to be observed, whereby the illumination device is composed of at least one luminous diode, which is arranged in the magnifying device in such a way that its light can emerge from the magnifying device essentially straight toward the direction of the object to be observed.
Abstract:
A boat propeller has a housing adapted to be fixed to a boat, a hub rotatable about a main axis on the housing, a plurality of generally radially projecting vanes pivotable on the hub, and an operating core shaft coaxially received in the hub, rotatable about the main axis but axially nondisplaceable relative thereto, and having a rear end projecting axially from the hub and a front end. A yoke is fixed to the rear core-shaft end and respective rods fixed to the yoke are connected to the vanes for pivoting the vanes on angular movement of the core shaft about the main axis. A cylinder axially fixed in the housing at the front core-shaft end holds an axially displaceable piston. A nut element having a nonbinding internal screwthread is threaded on a screw element. One of the elements is axially coupled to the piston and the other of the elements is axially coupled to the core-shaft front end. The cylinder can be pressurized to axially displace the piston and, by axial-to-rotary conversion via the elements, rotate the core shaft.
Abstract:
A boat drive having a variable-speed engine connected through a clutch to a variable-pitch propeller has a control having a housing and a guide on the housing defining a central crosswise track having a travel end and a start end, forward and backward travel tracks extending from the travel end, and a forward start track extending from the start end. A lever pivoted on the housing is movable in the tracks of the guide. A pitch controller connected to the propeller includes a position detector operable by the lever when in the travel end and travel tracks for increasing propeller pitch positively on movement of the lever forward from the travel end in the forward travel track and negatively on movement of the lever backward from the travel end in the backward track and for setting the propeller at 0° pitch when the lever is in the travel end. An engine controller connected to the engine and to the clutch includes a position detector operable by the lever when in the start track for opening the clutch and varying engine speed in accordance with movement of the lever along the start track.
Abstract:
A reactance filter, particularly in a branching circuit (ladder type),with surface wave resonators wherein omission weighted normal finger transducers are employed between reflectors such that the arrangement and plurality of the active fingers of the interdigital transducer are particularly formed for changing the capacitance relationship (static to dynamic capacitance) such that a narrow filter bandwidth is achieved.
