Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may measure a plurality of beams from a base station or a UE, the plurality of beams corresponding to a plurality of subbands of a wideband channel. The apparatus may also determine whether the plurality of beams include one or more candidate beam groups for each subband of the plurality of subbands. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, upon determining that the plurality of beams include one or more candidate beam groups for at least one subband of the plurality of subbands, an indication of the one or more candidate beam groups for the at least one subband of the plurality of subbands.

Abstract: A method of managing positioning reference signal transmission includes: instructing a transmission point to apply a muting pattern regarding transmission of a reference signal including first and second reference signal resources, where a first instance of the first reference signal resource includes one or more first resource elements across one or more first OFDM symbols within a slot, and a second instance of the second reference signal resource includes one or more second resource elements across one or more second OFDM symbols within the slot; and instructing the transmission point to transmit, unmuted, at least one of the one or more second resource elements, of at least one of the one or more second OFDM symbols, despite the muting pattern indicating to mute transmission of the at least one of the one or more second resource elements of the at least one of the one or more second OFDM symbols.

The wireless device performs a first beamsweep of an RF signal and measures a reflection of the RF signal based on the first beamsweep. The wireless device performs a second beamsweep of the RF signal, wherein the first beamsweep is based on a different parameter than the second beamsweep and measures the reflection of the RF signal based on the second beamsweep. The wireless device selects a beam for RF sensing based on the first beamsweep and the second beamsweep.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, a base station, and a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication are provided to reduce the retransmission latency for URLLC communications. Upon receiving a downlink data transmission, a UE waits until it completes decoding of the received downlink data transmission before it can send an ACK/NAK report on the decoded downlink data transmission. In case of a decoding failure, the base station cannot start retransmission until the UE finishes the decoding of the downlink data transmission and sends the ACK/NAK report and until the base station finishes decoding of an NAK in the ACK/NAK report. This considerable retransmission latency may not meet stringent latency requirements of some URLLC applications. A two-stage ACK/NAK reporting is disclosed to reduce the retransmission latency where the UE sends an early ACK/NAK report upon partially completing the decoding of the downlink data transmission.
