Abstract: In an aspect, the present disclosure includes a method, apparatus, and computer readable medium for wireless communications for receiving, by a relay user equipment (UE) from a remote UE, a remote UE radio resource control (RRC) message for establishing a relayed communication between the remote UE and a network entity via the relay UE; determining, by the relay UE, remote UE information associated with the remote UE for establishing a remote UE communication context between the relay UE and the network entity based on the remote UE RRC message; and transmitting, by the relay UE to the network entity, the remote UE RRC message and the remote UE information.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using ranging signals to determine a position of a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE). In an aspect, a UE receives a plurality of ranging signals transmitted by one or more UEs, measures one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals. In an aspect, the P-UE transmits a plurality of ranging signals, receives a first message and a second message from first and second vehicle UEs (V-UEs), the first and second messages including first and second estimated positions of the P-UE and associated first and second confidences, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the first estimated position, the first confidence, the second estimated position, the second confidence, or a combination thereof.

A packet from an application generated for a first radio access technology (RAT) can be obtained, where the packet includes a first QoS value associated with the first RAT, and/or the first QoS value can be mapped to a second QoS value associated with the second RAT. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, at a processing layer of the UE, sets of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle parameters from a corresponding set of applications at an application layer of the UE. The UE may determine, based on the sets of DRX parameters, a common DRX cycle to satisfy each of the sets of applications. The UE may transmit the common DRX cycle to one or more layers in the user plane protocol stack of the UE. A base station may also receive a request, from the UE, for a set of DRX cycle parameters that satisfies the common DRX cycle of the UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of DRX parameters, and receive, from the UE, a confirmation of a DRX cycle associated with the set of DRX cycle parameters.

The apparatus may receive from a second device a first data packet in one or more receiving slots of a time division duplex frame that includes a plurality of slots. The apparatus may determine whether the first data packet is received incorrectly. The apparatus may wait until the end of the one or more receiving slots and may transmit to the second device a first NACK in a NACK feedback symbol in a configured slot after the end of the one or more receiving slots in response to determining that the first data packet was not received correctly.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a buffer status report for a first sidelink transmission to a device. The first UE may receive, from a second UE, sidelink control information scheduling the first UE for a time resource for a second sidelink transmission from the second UE, the sidelink control information including an indication of a serving cell identifier of the second UE. The first UE may detect a half-duplex scheduling conflict, or a possible half-duplex scheduling conflict, based on the serving cell identifier and transmit an indication of the conflict to a serving base station. The base station may then assign, or re-assign, resources for the first sidelink transmission to avoid the scheduling conflict.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods for wireless communication. A transmitting device transmits a first portion of a control message to a receiving device. The first portion includes information for decoding a second portion of the control message and for decoding data. The transmitting device then transmits the second portion to the receiving device, the second portion including additional information for decoding the data. Thereafter, the first device transmits the data to the receiving device. The receiving device receives the first portion and the second portion, and decodes the received second portion based on the information included in the first portion. The receiving device then receives the data from the second device if the received second portion is able to be decoded. The receiving device decodes the received data based on the information included in the first portion and the additional information included in the second portion.

Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication of a UE determines to transmit data in a set of RBs to at least one other UE in at least one subframe. The at least one subframe includes a first subset of symbols configured for use for transmission collision avoidance signaling and a second subset of symbols configured for transmitting the data. The apparatus determines a subset of symbols of the first set of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe for transmitting at least one concatenated sequence. The apparatus transmits the at least one concatenated sequence in each symbol of the determined subset of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe to indicate that the data will be transmitted in the second set of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe.
