    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a transmitter user equipment (UE) determines a first zone identifier (ID) corresponding to a first zone in which the transmitter UE is located, determines a distance threshold based on a distance requirement of an application associated with the transmitter UE, determines a second zone ID based on the first zone ID, the distance threshold, a size of the first zone, or any combination thereof, and transmits the second zone ID and the distance threshold to one or more receiver UEs. In an aspect, the receiver UE receives the second zone ID and the distance threshold, determines a distance between the receiver UE and the transmitter UE based on the second zone ID and a location of the receiver UE, and transmits, based on the distance being less than the distance threshold, a feedback message to the transmitter UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to another UE, a positioning request associated with a procedure for determining a position of the UE, wherein the positioning request comprises a sidelink communication between a first sidelink location management component (S-LMC) of the UE and a second S-LMC of the other UE, wherein the first S-LMC and the second S-LMC comprise sub-functions associated with a vehicle-to-everything protocol layer; and receive a positioning report associated with the procedure for determining the position of the UE, wherein the positioning report comprises an indication of the position of the UE based at least in part on a determination by a sidelink location management function.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for dynamic resource avoidance and slot aggregation. The described techniques enable a user equipment (UE) in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system to select resources for varying transmission of a data packet (e.g., over multiple slots). The UE may determine a set of candidate transmission time intervals (TTIs) for transmission of the data packet based on a resource map, which may involve selecting resources that are unoccupied by other UEs as indicated by the resource map or preempting other UEs based on traffic priority or latency. The UE may transmit a reservation indication indicating resources to be reserved for subsequent transmissions (e.g., retransmission) and a UE receiving the reservation indication may update its resource map.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for measuring the interference on the sidelink for use in calculating the channel quality indicator (CQI) in channel state information (CSI) reporting. Channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resources on which a sidelink device may measure the interference may be located outside of a bandwidth allocated for the transmission of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and/or inside of the allocated bandwidth. The sidelink device may measure respective interference values on one or more CSI-IM resources, identify one or more CQI(s) based on the measured interference value(s) and transmit one or more CSI reports including the one or more CQIs to another sidelink device.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may generate a pseudorandom noise (PN) sequence, modulate the PN sequence based at least in part on a modulation order parameter, and transmit the PN sequence in one or more symbols prior to transmitting sidelink data. The one or more symbols used to transmit the PN sequence may be used for automatic gain control (AGC) training at a receiving device. The user equipment may then transmit the sidelink data in a plurality of symbols that are subsequent in time relative to the one or more symbols used to transmit the PN sequence, and the receiving device may process the sidelink data based on the AGC training.
