    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A synchronization signal block (SSB) may be dynamically scheduled within an operating bandwidth of a user equipment (UE), where the operating bandwidth of the UE is outside of a frequency resource in which a cell defining SSB (CD-SSB) is scheduled. For example, a UE may operate in a reduced capability mode or an enhanced reduced capability mode where the UE may operate in a narrower bandwidth than the serving cell bandwidth. Control signaling may dynamically configure an SSB for the UE within the operating bandwidth of the UE. The UE may monitor for the non-cell defining SSB (NCD-SSB) and skip monitoring for the CD-SSB based on the dynamically configured NCD-SSB. For example, a reduced capability UE or an enhanced reduced capability UE may monitor for the NCD-SSB without performing RF retuning between receiving the control signaling and monitoring for the NCD-SSB.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for harvesting radio frequency (RF) energy based on an energy harvesting EH indication signal. A transmitting device such as a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an EH indication signal that indicates a time period when radio frequency (RF) energy is to be available. The UE may receive the EH indication signal and harvest RF energy from the RF signal during the time period. The transmitting device may transmit an RF signal to the UE or another UE during the time period. The UE may receive a wake up indication indicating a second time period to monitor a control channel. The UE may split power between energy harvesting and receiving RF signals during the second time period.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided allowing a UE to perform early termination of repetitions of an ongoing PUSCH transmission in response to a DCI from a base station indicating whether a prior PUSCH transmission or repetition was successfully decoded. The UE obtains information configuring an uplink data transmission and a repetition of the uplink data transmission. The UE sends the uplink data transmission to a base station. The UE terminates the repetition of the uplink data transmission in response to reception of downlink information in a downlink control channel. Thus, UE power reduction and enhanced resource efficiency may be achieved. Moreover, the repetition is terminated after a time gap following a CORESET where the downlink control channel is received. As a result, a start time for terminating PUSCH repetitions may be configured to accommodate various timing considerations such as dynamic TDD, different numerologies between PDCCH and PUSCH, and multiple PUSCH processing capabilities.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support allocation of resources for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) for reduced bandwidth devices. In a first aspect, a method includes monitoring, by a user equipment (UE) configured for reduced bandwidth operation, at least a subset of a first set of time and frequency resources allocated to a synchronization signal block (SSB) for UEs configured for non-reduced bandwidth operation. The SSB includes synchronization signals and a PBCH. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, a second set of time and frequency resources allocated to the PBCH for UEs configured for reduced bandwidth operation. The method includes receiving, by the UE, the synchronization signals and the PBCH within at least the subset of the first set of time and frequency resources and the second set of time and frequency resources.
