Abstract: An in-situ cladding method including providing a pipe with a target surface with a defected area. The method also includes lowering an in-situ cladding system into the pipe. The in-situ cladding system includes a dual head laser, with primary and secondary beams, and a wire feeding system. The method also includes lowering the wire feeding system into the pipe, feeding a cladding wire onto the target surface, melting the cladding wire onto the target surface with the primary beam, and blowing gas onto the cladding wire using an internal purging system. The method further includes forcing melting of the cladding wire in a first desired direction to form a first layer, forcing melting of the cladding wire in a second desired direction to form a second layer, switching off the primary beam and switching on the secondary beam, and welding the first and second layers together using the secondary beam.

Abstract: A device for probing an interior of a tube includes an annular frame configured for engagement with a rotor or an orbital element mount. The annular frame presents a mounting surface. An annular buffer layer is positioned radially inward of and concentrically with the annular frame. A flexible annular sealing layer is joined with the annular buffer layer and positioned radially inward of and concentrically with the annular buffer layer. The sealing layer is configured to form a seal with the tube. A rotational layer is positioned between the annular frame and the buffer layer enabling rotation of the annular frame about the annular buffer layer. A process cartridge frame is mounted on the mounting surface and includes three or more process cartridge openings. Each of the cartridge openings is configured to receive a process cartridge. Each process cartridge is rotatively selectable via rotation of the annular frame.

Abstract: Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for providing a photonic sensing system to perform an automated method to characterize displacement of equipment surfaces and monitor changes in real-time. A three-dimensional (3D) point cloud of one or more objects is generated by an analysis and presentation system using light information collected through structured light illumination by an array of structured-light sensors (SLSes) directed toward the one or more objects. Generating the point cloud includes defining points of the 3D point cloud that are relative to reference points on the one or more objects. Real-time contactless 3D surface measurements of the one or more objects are performed using the 3D point cloud. Changes in one or more parts of the one or more objects are determined by the an analysis and presentation system by analyzing the real-time contactless 3D surface measurements.
