摘要: An ink jet print head comprises a substrate formed with a heating resistor, an ink path defining member for defining an ink supply path, and a orifice plate, and in the orifice plate, there is formed an ink outlet at the position opposing the heating resistor. Further, a heating zone surrounding the heating resistor is formed at the position corresponding to the heating resistor of the ink supply path. The channel resistance of the ink supply path is set so that a relationship is established between a quantity q of the discharged ink drop, a sectional area A of the ink outlet, and a maximal projection h that a meniscus of the ink has when it projects from the ink outlet after it has restored the exit level from a retreat position it had after the drop of the ink had been discharged, such that 0

摘要: In an optical disc drive, a rapid access to a target track within a program area is enabled in case of accidental reentry of an optical pick-up into a lead-in area during an access operation. Upon mounting a compact disc, a maximum relative address TLm within the lead-in area is detected and stored in a memory. If it is found during an accessing operation that a current position lies within the lead-in area, a total number of tracks interposed between the current position and the target position within the program area can be obtained based on a current address, the maximum relative address and a target address of the target position, thereby achieving a high speed accessing operation.

摘要: A tape cable provided with connector portions in its end portions is wound spirally, and a reinforcing tape having elasticity is stuck to the outer circumferential surface of the tape cable in the vicinity of the connector portion. In an inner cylinder, in the vicinity of the end portion on the connector side of the reinforcing tape provided on the tape cable, a support portion is provided in a position to support the tape cable together with the reinforcing tape. When the connector portion is installed in the inner cylinder, the tape cable is inserted and held between the support portion and the inner cylinder together with the reinforcing tape. Accordingly an end portion of the reinforcing tape is fixed, so that buckling between the connector portion and the support can be prevented. Buckling beyond the portion can be prevented by the rigidity of the reinforcing tape.

摘要: For formation of a photographic image by development of a silver halide photographic material with an automatic developing machine, a certain period of time or not longer than 15 seconds is set as the time of the development step and a silver halide photographic material is used which, when developed for a period of one-half of said certain period of time after such an exposure that the exposed silver halide photographic material, when developed for said certain period of time, would give a value of (Dmax-fog).times.1/2, gives a value of (D-fog) having 70% or more of the value of (Dmax-fog).times.1/2. The silver halide photographic material comprises at least one of a combination of (1), (2) and (3) or (2) and (4): where: (1) represents a silver halide emulsion containing a water-soluble iridium salt; (2) represents a silver halide emulsion layer with a silver amount from 1 to 3.5 grams/m.sup.2 coated on one surface of said emulsion layer; (3) represents silver halide grains wherein the mean grain size is 1.0 .mu. or less; and (4) represents tabular silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of 4 or more. By the rapid development procedure, a sharp image with no development unevenness (drag streaks) can be obtained and the automatic developing machine to be used may be made small-sized and compact.

摘要: A device for changing the stroke of a caulking machine having a table on which is placed an article having a plurality of rivet shanks, and a rivet head forming tool. The table is adapted to be moved back and forth and right and left to bring the rivet shanks into the position right under the rivet head forming tool one after another. The rivet head forming tool is driven by a motor and moved up and down by a cylinder to form a rivet head at the top of each rivet shank. The device for changing stroke has a plate member movable up and down together with the rivet head forming tool and stopper pins having their top ends secured to the plate member. An annular plate is mounted outside a rotary shaft of the rivet head forming tool so as to be freely rotatable at a predetermined position. A plurality of pins having lengths corresponding to the lengths of the rivet shanks of the article are secured at equal intervals to the annular plate to extend upright. The pins are adapted to be brought into abutment at the top ends thereof with the bottom ends of the stopper pins to restrict the down stroke of the rivet head forming tool.
