    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second substrates positioned so as to face each other; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, and containing a polymerizable component that is polymerized by light or heat. The polymerizable component of the liquid crystal layer is polymerized with a predetermined voltage being applied to a region corresponding to those pixels whose transmittance-drive voltage characteristics are shifted toward higher voltages in a normal drive operation, where the predetermined voltage is applied so that the transmittance-drive voltage characteristics are shifted toward lower voltages by an amount equal to or larger than an amount of the shift toward higher voltages.
