摘要: A method for producing a plasma display panel having a base layer including metallic oxides and agglomerated particles dispersed on the base layer includes the following steps of: forming the base layer on the dielectric layer; spreading an organic solvent in which the agglomerated particles are dispersed on the base layer to form a coating layer thereon; drying the coating layer under a reduced pressure to form an organic solvent coating film on at least the base layer; disposing the rear plate and the front plate on which the coating film is formed so as to face each other; heating the front plate and the rear plate facing each other to evaporate the coating film, dispersing the agglomerated particles on the base layer, and removing components of the evaporated coating film from the discharge space; and sealing the rear plate and the front plate from which the coating film is evaporated to each other.

摘要: A car is suspended by suspension means and raised and lowered by a hoisting machine. Electric power supplied to a motor of the hoisting machine is controlled by an electric power converter. The electric power converter is controlled by a control apparatus. The control apparatus estimates a maximum value of a regenerative voltage at time of a regenerative operation of the hoisting machine when the car is running. When the estimated maximum value of the regenerative voltage reaches a predetermined voltage limit value, the control apparatus controls the electric power converter so as to stop an increase in estimated maximum value of the regenerative voltage.

摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) featuring the display performance of high definition display and high brightness, and yet, a lower power consumption is disclosed. A front panel of this PDP includes display electrodes formed on a front glass substrate, a dielectric layer covering the display electrodes, and a protective layer formed on the dielectric layer. A rear panel of this PDP includes address electrodes formed along a direction intersecting with the display electrodes, and barrier ribs. The front panel and the rear panel confront each other to form a discharge space which is portioned by the barrier ribs. The discharge space is filled with discharge gas. The protective layer is formed of a metal oxide made of MgO and CaO. X-ray diffraction analysis on the surface of the protective layer finds that the metal oxide has a peak between a diffraction angle where a peak of MgO occurs and a diffraction angle where a peak of CaO occurs along an identical orientation of the MgO peak, and the metal oxide has a peak indicating crystal orientation of (111) plane.

摘要: A PDP can be driven at low voltage while having a charge retention property in a protection layer, and has favorable image display properties. Additionally, the PDP prevents the occurrence of discharge delay and realizes high-quality image display by performing favorable high-speed driving in a high definition PDP. To achieve this, a surface layer (8) is formed to a film thickness of 1 μm in an oxygen atmosphere having an oxygen partial pressure of 0.025 Pa or more, the surface layer (8) is provided on a face of a dielectric layer (7) on a discharge space side. Furthermore, MgO particles (16) are dispersed on a surface of the surface layer (8). The surface layer (8) has the effects of protecting the dielectric layer (7) from ion bombardment during discharge, reducing the firing voltage, and preventing excessive electron loss. Also, the MgO particles (16) have a high initial electron emission property.

摘要: An air pollution control apparatus 1 includes: an absorber 2 that serves as a passage for flue gas; an absorbent spraying unit 5 that sprays an absorbent into the absorber 2; and a reservoir tank 3 that reserves therein the absorbent. The air pollution control apparatus 1 brings the flue gas into gas-liquid contact with the absorbent to process the flue gas, while sending the flue gas in the absorber 2. The air pollution control apparatus 1 also collects and reserves therein the absorbent after processing the flue gas in the reservoir tank 3. The air pollution control apparatus 1 also includes a defoaming agent diffusing unit 6 that diffuses a defoaming agent over foams of the absorbent in the reservoir tank 3.

摘要: An ultraviolet light monitoring system includes first and second electrodes, an evaluation subject film and a power source. The first and second electrodes are opposingly disposed and attract holes which are generated in accordance with irradiation of ultraviolet light. The evaluation subject film is formed in a vicinity of the first and second electrodes, and is a subject of evaluation of damage caused by the irradiation of ultraviolet light. The power source, at times of monitoring of the ultraviolet light, applies a predetermined bias to a series path formed by the first electrode, a gap between the first and second electrodes, and the second electrode.
