摘要: Keys, which are incorporated in an automatic player piano, are monitored with an optical transducer system. The optical transducer system includes sensor heads provided on both sides of the key trajectories, LEDs connected to predetermined sensor heads through optical fibers, LDDs connected to the other sensor heads through optical fibers and a controlling unit. A luminescence controller is connected to the LEDs for optimizing the luminescence, and bias controllers are respectively connected to the LDDs. The luminescence controller and bias controllers optimize the luminescence of emitted light and the bias level of electric signals so that the optical transducer system is free from the individuality of component parts and the deterioration.

摘要: An image forming apparatus configured to use a highly viscous, dense developing liquid including a carrier liquid and toner. The apparatus includes a developing unit with a developer carrier and a coating member for coating the developing liquid on the developer carrier. The developer carrier conveys the liquid to a developing zone where it faces an image carrier to develop a latent image on the image carrier. In the developing zone, the toner is caused to move toward the image by electrophoresis to form a toner layer in which the toner is present in the carrier liquid and a carrier layer in which the toner is absent. When the developer carrier and image carrier are moved from each other, the toner moves toward the image such that the developing liquid separates at the boundary between the toner and carrier layers.

摘要: A developing device for developing a latent image formed on an image carrier with a developing liquid includes a liquid storing section for storing the liquid including a developing substance and a carrier liquid. A developer carrier deposits the liquid fed from the liquid storing section thereon. A float type liquid level sensor senses a liquid level in the liquid storing section. The liquid level sensor includes a magnetic force generating member for generating a magnetic force, a magnetic force sensing device for sensing the magnetic force, and floats movable up and down in accordance with the liquid level in the liquid storing section. A distance between the magnetic force generating member and the magnetic force sensing device varies in accordance with the movement of the floats, allowing the liquid level to be determined on the basis of the output of the magnetic force sensing device.

摘要: A liquid developer which includes an insulating liquid, and toner fine particles containing a coloring agent and a toner resin. In the liquid developer, its electric capacitance does not significantly vary in an electric circuit where an electrical double-layer capacitor and an electronic resistance corresponding to a velocity of an electron exchange during an electrode reaction are connected in parallel, and a resistance corresponding to an electric conductivity of the insulating liquid is connected in series. The coloring agent has a coating layer so as to maintain distances between the toner fine particles. The insulating liquid has a viscosity of 0.5 mPa·s to 1000 mPa·s, a specific resistance of 1×1012 Ωcm or more, and a surface tension of 30 dyn/cm or less, and may be a nonvolatile liquid having a boiling point of 100° C. or higher.

摘要: A composite control valve is constructed by a valve housing, first and second diaphragms mounted to the valve housing and disposed to be opposed to each other, a negative pressure working chamber defined between the first and second diaphragms to communicate with a negative pressure generating section in an engine, a first control valve adapted to be opened and closed by advancing and returning of the first diaphragm, and a second control valve adapted to be opened and closed by advancing and returning of the second diaphragm. The first control valve is incorporated into an air vent system for a fuel tank, and the second control valve is incorporated into a fuel passage system extending from the fuel tank to a fuel supply section in the engine. Thus, upon stoppage of the operation of the engine, not only the fuel passage system but also the air vent system leading to the upper space in the fuel tank are blocked simultaneously, thereby preventing release of an evaporated fuel generated in the fuel tank to the atmosphere.

摘要: In a ceiling (12) of a room (10) of a clean room device (15), fan filter units (14) are arranged at distances, and to an open grid space where no fan filter unit (14) is provided, a breathable body (40) is provided. When clean air is sent from an over-ceiling space (16) into the room (10) by the fan filter unit (14), an air pressure in the room (10) becomes higher than that in the over-ceiling space (16), and part of the air in the room (10) flows to the over-ceiling space (16) through the breathable body (40). Consequently, it is possible to prevent an occurrence of a swirling current in an area under an open grid space in the room (10), and cleanliness in the room (10) can be raised.

摘要: A disk apparatus has a rotatable actuator adapted to magnetically latch in a predetermined stop position when the disk apparatus is not operating. The actuator rotates about a rotating or swinging shaft and includes a coil arm having a latch magnet. The coil arm is adapted to pass between opposing permanent magnets when the actuator rotates about the rotating or swinging shaft. When the actuator is in the stop position, the latch magnet is outside of the area between the permanent magnets, therefore generating a repulsive force between the latch magnet and permanent magnets, inducing the actuator to magnetically latch. When the disk apparatus is operating, the latch magnet travels between the permanent magnets, resulting in opposing repulsive magnetic forces having equal magnitudes which cancel each other, maintaining the actuator's attitude without rotating it. In this manner, the latch magnet does not interfere with the operation of the actuator, and locks the actuator in a stop or park condition when the disk apparatus is not operating.
