摘要: In an apparatus for determining the actual status of a piezoelectric sensor in a medical implant, electrical charges generated in the sensor, in response to changes in acceleration and/or gravitational force or other loads acting on the sensor, are continuously detected and the charges are then removed from the sensor, thereby maintaining the voltage across the sensor at a substantial constant zero level. The detected charges, both negative and positive, are integrated, thereby providing a resulting integrated signal representing the actual status of the sensor. The integrated signal is then evaluated for determining the physical activity and/or the posture of a patient in whom the medical implant is implanted.

摘要: The present invention refers to a method and a device for jetting droplets of a viscous medium onto an electronic circuit board. According to the invention, the viscous medium is applied from a viscous medium supply container to an eject chamber through a tubular passage using a rotatable feed screw arranged within the tubular passage. The viscous medium is then jetted from the eject chamber through an eject nozzle by the rapid decreasing of the volume of the chamber.

摘要: Matrix printer means having plurality of write heads. In order to be able to achieve a print width in matrix printer means that is greater than that of an individual write head and in order to simultaneously enhance the resolution beyond the basic resolution of the write head or in order to enable multi-color printing, a plurality of rows of write heads are provided. The neighboring write heads in one row and the rows themselves are arranged phase-shifted relative to one another or the colors of the write heads in every row and between the rows are cyclically interchanged. The plurality of required rows of write heads is thus reduced to a minimum.

摘要: A mosaic recorder for ejecting liquid droplets for punctiform representation of characters or images on a recording medium has nozzles arranged in rows in front of the recording medium, each nozzle having a piezoelectric transducer associated therewith, the individual transducers being bilaminar teeth of a comb-like piezoplate consisting of piezoceramic material and a carrier material. The piezoplate has a base by which the transducers are attached to a recording head. For reducing the mechanical coupling between the transducer teeth so that transmission of coupling forces from an activated transducer tooth to the adjacent transducer teeth is substantially eliminated, the ceramic material between the teeth in the area of the comb base is removed so as to provide a gap between adjacent teeth.

摘要: A holographic system for recording movements of body surfaces of a patient characterized by a source of coherent light projecting on the body surface to create an object wave and having a portion of the light as a reference wave, a film carrier for photographic film disposed to simultaneously record the object and reference waves as a hologram and switching devices which are activated by a transmitter device sensing cardiac activity for double pulse switching of the source at predetermined intervals so that the two separate holograms of the body surface are recorded with each hologram being at a different time interval of the movement of the body. The present invention enables the two holograms which are recorded on the film to be recorded at given points in a cardiac activity of the patient such as given points of the EKG cycle of the patient.

摘要: An implantable heart monitoring system has a control circuit that operates an implanted vibrator to emit a vibration signal that interacts with tissue in vivo. A vibration sensor detects vibrations after interaction with the tissue, and supplies a detection signal to the control circuit. The control circuit analyzes the vibrations in the detected signal relative to the vibration signal, and derives information concerning at least one mechanical property of the heart therefrom, such as stiffness and/or thickness of at least a part of the heart.

摘要: A method and a system for jetting droplets of viscous medium, such as solder paste, onto a substrate, such as an electronic circuit board. The volume of the droplets are adjusted by regulating the amount of viscous medium that is fed into a jetting nozzle for subsequent jetting of the viscous medium droplets therefrom. The exit velocity of the jetted droplets is adjusted or maintained substantially constant by regulating the velocity with which the viscous medium is impacted. Furthermore, the rate at which viscous medium is fed, for instance by a feed screw, into the nozzle is adjusted in order to regulate the feeding time required for feeding the viscous medium into the jetting nozzle, for instance in order to maintain a constant feeding time.

摘要: A medical system has an implantable heart stimulator with sensing and stimulating pairs of electrodes, with an electric field through the heart being generated by the respective pairs by the application of alternating voltages at a preset frequency to the respective pairs. A signal receiver receives a signal representing the voltage potential difference between the voltage potential at one of the electrodes in the pair, and a reference electrode. The detected voltage is related to the generated electric field, and the signal receiver generates a potential different signal that is supplied to a control unit to determine parameters therefrom representing cardiac activity.

摘要: An implantable heart stimulating device has a stimulation pulse generator that emits stimulation pulses at an adjustable stimulation rate, an activity sensor that emits an activity signal in response to detected activity of the patient, and a physiological parameter sensor that generates a physiological sensor signal in response to a detected physiological parameter. The activity and physiological sensor signals are supplied to a control arrangement that sets the stimulation rate for the stimulation pulse generator by executing a stimulation rate algorithm dependent on those signals. In the stimulation rate algorithm, if the physiological signal indicates an emotional stress on the part of the patient, the stimulation rate is increased to an adjustable emotional stress rate level, and if no increase in the activity signal occurs during a predetermined time period following the stimulation rate increase, the stimulation rate is decreased.
