摘要: An electrofluidic device includes first structural layer and second structural layer. First structural layer includes first substrate; and first electrode and second electrode on the first substrate. The second electrode has an indent region surrounding and without contacting first electrode. First hydrophobic layer is at least over the second electrode. Second structural layer at one side of the first structural layer with a gap includes second substrate and groove structure layer. The groove structure layer includes an indent groove, corresponding to the indent region of the second electrode. Second hydrophobic layer is over the groove structure layer. Polar fluid is disposed in the indent groove and remains in contact with the first electrode. Non-polar fluid is disposed in the gap between the first and second structural layers.

摘要: An electro-wetting display device and a non-polar color solution thereof are provided. The electro-wetting device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a polar solution layer and a non-polar color solution layer. The first substrate is opposite to the second substrate. The polar solution layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The non-polar color solution layer is disposed between the first substrate and the polar solution layer and includes at least one non-polar solvent, at least one dye and at least one improvement agent. The improvement agent is dissolved in the non-polar solvent, and the improvement agent is not dissolved in the polar solution layer.

The first substrate comprises a reflective region and a transmissive region for each subpixel, and a first color fluid is movable by an electric field on the reflective region and the transmissive region of a first subpixel, wherein when the first color fluid covers the transmissive region, the dual display provides a first viewing side at the first substrate side under a transmissive mode, and when the first color fluid covers the reflective region or covers the reflective region and the transmissive region, the dual display provides a second viewing side at the second substrate side under a reflective mode.

摘要: Electrowetting devices (EWD) are presented. The electrowetting device includes a first substrate and an opposing second substrate with a polar fluid layer and a non-polar fluid layer interposed therebetween. A first transparent electrode is disposed on the first substrate. A second electrode is disposed on the second substrate. A first partition structure is disposed on the first substrate; thereby defining a plurality of color sub-pixels. A dye and/or a pigment substance is doped in one of the polar fluid layer and the non-polar fluid layer. A luminescence substance is doped in one of the polar fluid layer and the non-polar fluid layer. An emission module (also known as an excitation module) is disposed underlying the bottom of the first substrate. The colors of the non-polar fluid layer in the neighboring sub-pixels are different.

摘要: An active device array substrate includes a substrate, scan and data lines defining pixel regions, active devices, pads, color filter layers, and pixel electrodes. The active devices respectively correspond to the pixel regions and electrically connect the corresponding scan lines and data lines. The pads disposed within the corresponding pixel regions connect the active devices. The color filter layers covering the pixel regions are disposed on the active devices and the pads. Each color filter layer has an opening exposing the corresponding pad and having a polygonal shape. The pixel electrodes are located on the color filter layers in the pixel regions. Each pixel electrode connects the pad downward via the corresponding opening and has parallel fine slits having a first extension direction. An included angle between the first extension direction and an extension direction of a first side of the opening is θ1, and 60°≦θ1≦90°.

摘要: An active device array substrate including a substrate, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of active devices, a first passivation layer, a transparent pad layer, a plurality of color filter patterns, a second passivation layer, a plurality of pixel electrodes, and a black matrix layer is provided. Each of the active devices is electrically connected to one of the scan lines and one of the data lines, respectively. The transparent pad layer having a plurality of openings for accommodating the color filter patterns is disposed on the first passivation layer located above the scan lines and the data lines. The first passivation layer, the color filter patterns and the second passivation layer have a plurality of contact windows therein. The black matrix layer is disposed above the transparent pad layer to cover a portion of the pixel electrodes.

摘要: An electrowetting pixel structure includes a substrate, a hydrophobic dielectric layer, a non-polar liquid, a polar liquid, at least one electrode, and at least one contact hole. The hydrophobic dielectric layer is formed on the substrate, the non-polar liquid covers one surface of the hydrophobic dielectric layer, and the polar liquid is provided on the hydrophobic dielectric layer where the non-polar liquid and the polar liquid are immiscible. The electrode is formed on the substrate and divides the substrate into an electrode section and a non-electrode section. When a voltage is applied to the electrowetting pixel structure, the non-polar liquid contracts on the hydrophobic dielectric layer and is confined to an area substantially overlapping the non-electrode section. The contact hole is formed on the substrate at a position away from the non-electrode section of the electrowetting pixel structure.

The smart display device includes an electrowetting panel, a photo-detector device, and a panel driving control device, wherein the photo-detector device detects environmental light such that the electrowetting panel is driven by the panel driving control device accordingly. 摘要: A display panel having a display region and a non-display region is provided. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a display medium between the first substrate and the second substrate. The substrate has a pixel array, a plurality of lead lines, an organic layer and a conductive pattern thereon. The pixel array is disposed within the display region. The lead lines are disposed within the non-display region and electrically connected to the pixel array. The organic layer covers the pixel array and the lead lines. The conductive pattern is disposed on the organic layer in the lead lines. The second substrate has an electrode layer thereon, and the electrode layer is disposed within the display region and the non-display region. In particular, the electrode layer and the conductive pattern are electrically connected to a common voltage.
