    摘要： A denture adhesive composition is disclosed and comprises a polymeric activator in an amount of up to about 3 percent by weight based on the total weight of the denture adhesive composition. This composition exhibits enhanced adhesive performance and reduces oozing and incidence of food occlusion. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a denture adhesive composition comprising: preparing a mixture which comprises a polymeric activator in an amount of up to about 3 percent by weight based on the total weight of the denture adhesive composition; forming a denture adhesive composition including the mixture; and recovering the denture adhesive composition. A method of making a denture adhesive composition more adhesive and less oozing is disclosed as well. This method comprises adding to the denture adhesive composition a polymeric activator in an amount of up to about 3 percent by weight based on the total weight of the denture adhesive composition.

    摘要： An improved denture adhesive composition is comprised of a highly cross-linked lower alkyl ether/maleic acid or maleic anhydride copolymer in which up to about 85% of the initial free carboxyl groups are reacted with one or more cross-linking agents. The cross-linking agents are mixtures of inorganic divalent cations such as calcium, magnesium and zinc together with organic bifunctional compounds comprised of polyhydroxyl compounds such as propylene glycol, glycerin and the like. The copolymer has a specific viscosity of no less than 1.5. A hydrophilic polymer such as sodium alginate or carboxymethyl cellulose may also be added to the lower alkyl vinyl ether/maleic acid or maleic anhydride copolymer which is then formulated with other excipients in a paste, powder, liquid, gel or cream composition.

    摘要： An automatic bottom-of-the-tank toilet bowl cleaner device which dispenses a metered amount of cleaning solution into a toilet bowl after each flush. The device has a reservoir which contains concentrated cleaning solution. The reservoir has a vent which is ordinarily closed off by a flotation unit, thus preventing the cleaning solution from being released into the tank. When the toilet is flushed, the water level in the tank drops, thereby lowering the flotation unit, allowing air to enter the reservoir through the vent, and releasing a measured quantity of cleaning solution into the toilet tank.
