摘要： A pressure relief latch for latching a first panel to a second panel and for release under pressure, including a housing for mounting on the first panel, a spring loaded detent carried in the housing, and a bolt having a pivot axis and pivotally mounted on the housing for latching engagement with the second panel, with the detent including a free roller and a compression spring positioned along a central spring axis perpendicular to the pivot axis, and with the bolt having a curved exterior shape with a detent notch for receiving the roller. The housing is closed about the spring except for a threaded opening at one end and a roller opening at the other end, and a threaded plug is positioned in the threaded end for loading adjustment. The roller may be spherical or cylindrical.

摘要： A latch system for coupling a panel or access door to a structure, having a hook, a keeper, an overcenter mechanism and an actuator. When the hook engages the keeper, the keeper drives a ramp formed into the hook causing the hook to pivot. The hook, torsionally linked to the overcenter mechanism, activates the overcenter mechanism securing the hook in a closed position. When the actuator is depressed it reverses the overcenter mechanism pivoting the hook into an open position. Multiple hooks are shown associated with the latching assembly.

摘要： A sliding hinge for mounting a nose cone or cover on a nacelle or housing, such as an equipment package suspended from the wing of an aircraft. Typically two hinges are used, positioned at opposite sides of the housing, for pivoting the nose cone upward to provide access to the equipment within the housing. Each hinge includes a sleeve mounted in the housing, a slide block sliding in the sleeve, and a slide arm pivotally attached to the slide block and mounted in the nose. To open the package, the nose is initially slid forward from the housing and then pivoted to an upward position. During this operation the slide arm slides out of the sleeve from a retracted position to an extended position and then pivots upward to the open position, with the slide block remaining in the sleeve. A locking mechanism is provided for locking the slide block in the sleeve in the extended position so that the nose cover has to be pivoted downward to the horizontal position in alignment with the housing before the arm and nose can be moved toward the housing to the retracted position.

摘要： A latching structure defined by a mount, a handle pivotally mounted to the mount and linked with a latch pin slidably mounted in the mount. The linkage between the handle and the latch pin includes first parallel links pivotally mounted to the handle and pivotally mounted to the latch pin. Second links are pivotally mounted to the first links and to a spring block slidably mounted on the latch pin. A spring is placed in compression between a shoulder on the latch pin and the spring blocks. Consequently, the linkage mechanism operates to actuate the latch pin with the handle and create an overcenter mechanism to bias the entire mechanism to either a fully opened position or a fully closed position. A gasket is provided on a flange associated with the handle to seal the latch mechanism when the mechanism is strongly biased by the spring into the closed position.

摘要： A quick release hinge/latch for removably attaching two surfaces including a keeper adapted to attach to a surface and having an edge portion in the form of a hollow keeper tube, a housing adapted to attach to another adjacent surface and also having an edge portion in the form of a hollow housing tube such that the keeper tube and housing tube fit together to form an extended tube, a pin which slides within the extended tube to detachably connect the keeper and housing and a flat spring/actuator which attaches to the pin through an opening in the housing tube. The spring/actuator when in a first position holds the pin partially extended into the keeper tube. When the leg portions of the spring/actuator are pinched together and into a second position the pin is withdrawn from the keeper tube. The pinched spring/actuator can then be rotated about the housing tube axis into a third position where the spring/actuator locks into a radial opening in the housing tube to thereby lock the pin entirely within the housing tube allowing easy detachment of the housing from the keeper.
