摘要： Apparatus and method of sampling gas from a patient using a gas sampling assembly that include a patient interface assembly having a patient interface portion and a first gas sampling tube. The patient interface portion communicates with an airway of a patient and is attached to a first end of the first gas sampling tube so that the patient interface assembly is a unitary component. A second gas sampling tube is releasably engageable with the second end of the first gas sampling tube such that substantially smooth and undisturbed fluid flow is maintained between the first gas sampling tube and the second gas sampling tube. The second gas sampling tube connects to a gas sensor and can be used with other patient interface assemblies.

摘要： A headgear for attaching an object to a head of a user that is defined by a support beam and first and second ear loops coupled to opposite ends of the beam. The support beam generally wraps around a back of a user's neck or head and remains below the external occipital protuberance at all times during use of the headgear. This configuration minimizes the contact between the portions of the headgear and the user's hair. The first and second ear loops each include an upper arm adapted to be positioned above the ear, a lower arm adapted to be positioned below the ear, or both. An interface device is coupled to the headgear and held on the user's head by a tensioning force pulling the interface device toward the user.

The pad also includes a patient contacting member having a first side adapted to contact a surface of a patient. A neck portion couples a second side of the base member and a second side of the first patient contacting member. The neck portion includes at least one cutout to allow at least a portion of the first patient contacting member to move relative to the base member so that the patient contacting portion of the pad is self-aligning with the surface of the patient even if the base member is not parallel with the surface of the patient.

摘要： A gas delivery system comprising an external housing, a flow generator, and a vibration damper body. The flow generator is disposed in the external housing, and has a flow generator housing with a peripheral surface and a lower surface. The vibration damper body is disposed within the external housing and is formed of one or more compliant materials that are shaped to be complementary to the peripheral surface of the flow generator housing so as to engage the peripheral surface of the flow generator housing. The vibration damper body has a lower surface attached to a bottom surface of the external housing, and also has a peripheral surface formed such that at least one air gap is created between at least a portion of the vibration damper body and the external housing.
