Abstract:
A surface treatment article is provided that includes wet layer(s) of at least one lower substrate layer and at least one flexible container containing a product and having at least one rupturable barrier adapted to burst under an application of pressure to allow at least a portion of said product to be expelled from the at least one flexible container onto a target surface. The surface treatment article may also include at least one substantially moisture impermeable layer over the wet layer(s) to act as a barrier between the user and the wet layers (product). The bottom surface of the at least one lower substrate layer may be covered by an apertured thermoplastic film to substantially ensure one-way flow of the product and stain removed from the target surface.
Abstract:
A multiple applicators comprising an elongated housing that is separated into multiple sealed compartments containing a liquid and an applicator tip with a score line formed at each of the sealed compartments located near the applicator tip wherein the elongated housing may be selectively severed into shorter sections at the score lines and removed. The removed section of the elongated housing is used to apply the liquid or viscous substance contained therein and disposed of after application. The remainder of the elongated housing with the remaining unused applicator tips and liquid is retained for subsequent uses.
Abstract:
A disposable applicator comprising a multilayered substrate containing a fluid is presented which is useful for applying fluids, particularly cosmetic lotions or creams, to an application surface, particularly a surface of a human body. The fluid is stored in a fluid storage layer and is dispensed via a flow control layer. An impermeable layer prevents the fluid from flowing back away from the application surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to moist wipes which are characterised in that they are impregnated with linear and/or branched alcohol polyglycol ethers.
Abstract:
A device for at least one of applying a product to a surface and packaging a product may include at least one element that may include at least one substance, and at least one of the product and the surface receiving the product may be enabled to contact the at least one substance. Alternatively, or in addition, the at least one element may generate at least one of an electric field and a magnetic field, and at least one of the product and the surface may be enabled to be subjected to the field generated by the at least one substance. Other devices as well as methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A skin refining composition contains five surfactants: sodium lauryl ether sulfate, cocoamidopropylbetaine, decyl polyglucoside, sucrose cocoate, and an amphoteric detergent. The composition also contains a sub-micron conditioning emulsion. The emulsion contains a silicone, a moisturizer, a humectant, and glycerin. The composition cleanses, exfoliates, and conditions the skin. The composition is applied with an applicator containing a foam pad and an integral brush having tapered bristles.
Abstract:
An article for applying a skin care product, particularly an artificial tanning agent to the skin. The article includes an adhesive matrix disposed between at least two layers that are permanently bonded to the matrix, with at least one of the layers being permeable to a liquid. The matrix contains at least one artificial tanning agent suitable for acting on the skin when the matrix is put into contact with the liquid so that the artificial tanning agent can be applied to the skin after contacting the article with the liquid. A method of making the article is also provided.
Abstract:
An applicator for applying a dispersible substance to the skin, the applicator comprising: a housing opening out in a face of the applicator for putting into contact with the skin to apply the substance; a supply of substance contained within the housing, the supply of substance and the housing being shaped in such a manner that the substance can come directly into contact with the skin during application; and a porous material suitable for retaining a liquid and for giving it back directly onto the supply of substance and also onto the face of the applicator that is bought into contact with the skin during application of the substance, the substance being suitable for dispersing on contact with the liquid released by the porous material.
Abstract:
A device (1) for making up, or for a care treatment, of the user's lips (L) includes a support (2) at least a portion of which can be impregnated by a pulverulent or liquid-to-pasty product (P). The support (2) has a flattened shape and has at least one application surface (4, 6) capable of coming into contact with at least one of the user's lips, the portion impregnated with the product being capable of elastic deformation by compression of the surfaces by the lips and of assuming their shape, so that a transfer of the product to the lips is effected during the compression of the support between the user's lips.
Abstract:
A storage and applicator article for the convenient and controlled application of lotion to a user's skin has a thin, fabric like cavity applicator that is pre-impregnated with fluid and stored in a fluid impermeable enclosure. Upon opening the enclosure, a user may apply the lotion by inserting their hand in the applicator, which may be configured as a glove or mitten, and spreading the fluid over the skin. The lotion may be a combination sunscreen and insect repellent. A second embodiment of the applicator and storage enclosure of the invention comprises opening on the applicator cooperating with the storage enclosure whereby opening of the enclosure urges the applicator open. Still another embodiment of the applicator of the invention comprises a reusable, reversible applicator cavity that may generally be pulled inside out to expose a fluid impregnated applicator surface.
