The fastener installation assembly has first and second power cylinders, the first power cylinder is operatively coupled to the first support member and the second power cylinder is operatively connected to the support member, the power cylinders move the engagement surfaces together to install a fastener into a panel. The moveable member is mounted proximate the stationary member and moveable relative to the stationary member, the moveable member includes a shank extending into the stationary member to guide the moveable member with respect to the stationary member. Keepers are mounted relative to the moveable member to retain the moveable member with respect to the stationary member and allow the moveable member to move with respect to the stationary member and to cooperate with the shank to guide the moveable member with respect to the stationary member.

摘要： A portable cam actuated press which utilizes the substantial force available from an air spring to move a ram via the camming action of rollers mounted on the air spring, the ram, and on a frame into which all of the components are mounted. The substantial force available from an air spring and the specialty cam system provided allows the device to perform clinching, crimping, punching, stenciling, riveting, stamping or holding operations which would normally be performed with much larger and heavier equipment when the proper punches and dies are installed on the ram and into the frame cutout. The unit operates pneumatically without the need for hydraulics or hydraulically assisted components.

摘要： Apparatus for pneumatically stamping identifying impressions on a workpiece is provided. The apparatus includes a double-acting air cylinder having a hollow piston rod. An impact piston is provided inside the barrel formed inside the piston rod to, alternatively, seal an aperture in the piston or to travel inside the barrel in order to strike a plunger mounted in a plunger housing slidably supported by the leading end of the piston rod. A stamping head having an anvil adjacent to the stamping characters is provided to be mounted on the end of the plunger housing. In operation, compressed air is injected behind the piston rod thereby extending it toward the workpiece while compressed air is provided ahead of the impact piston to retain it in seated position on an aperture in the piston of the piston rod. When the stamping characters engage the workpiece, further advancement of the piston rod closes the source of compressed air ahead of the impact piston and opens venting apertures.

摘要： A pneumatic impact gun having an accumulator and interlock system for rapidly dumping a predetermined amount of compressed air into a cylinder to thereby propel an associated piston toward an anvil for contact with a rivet to be upset. The interlock system prevents accidental firing of the gun until a normally open interlock valve is manually depressed. Thereupon, a trigger valve may be manually opened to permit compressed air from a source to open a main valve and charge the accumulator to a predetermined pressure. The air in the accumulator may then be rapidly dumped therefrom into contact with the piston. Additionally, a metering valve serves as an energy selector to permit selective charging of the accumulator for varying the resulting impact of the piston onto the anvil.
