An auto compression valve, comprising a rear housing with an air release hole; a front housing screwed with the rear housing; a taper piston moveably mounted in the rear housing; a spring mounted in the front housing, wherein one end of the spring is placed in the cavity of the front housing, another end is sleeved on the cylinder end of the taper piton; a lock ring with an air release groove fixed between the rear and front housings. Air release is realized through the air release hole and the air release groove, thus all parts of the valve can be assembled more tightly to prevent coming loose, maintaining the necessary pressure for inflating tires and controlling the air leaking flow in deflation.

A pressure regulating device for connecting a pressure source to an inflatable object comprises: a hollow casing; a valve system positioned inside the hollow casing; a fluid inlet connected to the valve system; a fluid outlet; a fluid conduit positioned inside the hollow casing between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet; a pressure-sensing structure attached to the conduit and being movable inside the hollow casing and attached to the pressure sensing structure; a pressure-generating structure disposed inside the hollow casing and attached to the pressure-sensing structure. The pressure-generating structure can exert a bias force upon the pressure-sensing structure in proportion to a desired pressure in the inflatable object. The pressure regulator can inflate the object when the initial pressure inside the inflatable object is lower than the desired pressure and automatically terminates inflation when the pressure inside the object reaches the desired pressure.

An air maintenance tire assembly includes a tire having a tire cavity bounded by first and second sidewalls extending to a tire tread region, an air pump for generating pressurized air for maintaining air pressure within the tire cavity at a preset pressure level, and a faceted valve housing disposed adjacent an outward end of the valve stem and operative to selectively open and close pressurized air flow from the valve stem internal passageway into the tire cavity. The first sidewall has at least one bending region operatively bending within a rolling tire footprint and a sidewall groove defined by groove sidewalls positioned within the bending region of the first tire sidewall. The groove deforms segment by segment between a non-deformed state and a deformed, constricted state in response to the bending of the first sidewall bending region within the rolling tire footprint.

An air maintenance tire assembly includes a tire having a tire cavity bounded by first and second sidewalls extending to a tire tread region, air pumping means for generating pressurized air for maintaining air pressure within the tire cavity at a preset pressure level, the air pumping means including a soft tubing and compression fittings for mitigating dynamic loading on the compression fittings, and a valve housing disposed adjacent an outward end of the valve stem and operative to selectively open and close pressurized air flow from the valve stem internal passageway into the tire cavity. The valve housing is connected to the air pumping means by the soft tubing and compression fittings for mitigating dynamic loading on the compression fittings.
Abstract:
An air maintenance tire system and method in accordance with the present invention includes an air pumping mechanism configured to maintain air pressure within a first tire and a second tire in a dual tire arrangement. The system includes a control valve assembly attached to an elongate valve stem projecting from a rim of a first tandem tire, and a one-way valve carrying connecting tube from a sidewall air pumping passageway within a sidewall of the first tire. The control valve assembly further includes first and second outlet tubes connected to the elongate valve stem to selectively pass pressurized air into the tire cavities of both tandem mounted tires on an as-needed basis.

A tire pressure sensor is provided. The tire pressure sensor comprises a sensor housing having a first engagement portion defining an opening. A pressure sensing element is within the sensor housing and is in fluid communication with the opening of the sensor housing. The tire pressure sensor is configured to engage and be in fluid communication with an over-inflation pressure relief valve. The over-inflation relief valve is engagable in a wheel of an aircraft wheel assembly. The tire pressure sensor is also disengagable from the over-inflation pressure relief valve. A tire pressure sensor assembly and an aircraft wheel system are also provided.

A wheel includes an inner wheel half defining a plurality of inner bolt apertures and having a mating surface. The wheel also includes an outer wheel half defining a plurality of outer bolt apertures and having an inner surface. The plurality of outer bolt apertures are configured to be aligned with the plurality of inner bolt apertures such that each of a plurality of bolts may be received by one of the plurality of outer bolt apertures and one of the plurality of inner bolt apertures, forming a seal between the mating surface and the inner surface in response to each of the plurality of bolts being tightened. In response to a predetermined number of bolts becoming loose, a first portion of the mating surface may separate from a second portion of the inner surface, breaking the seal.

A relief-valve device for an air pressure gauge has a casing, a relief-valve assembly, a valve shaft, and a push button. The casing has a connecting member, a pressure detecting member and a discharging member. The relief-valve assembly is mounted in the discharging member and has a valve seat, a first seal ring, a second seal ring and a mounting cover. The valve shaft is mounted axially slidably in the relief-valve assembly and has a shaft member and a valve head. The shaft member has a discharging notch selectively aligning with the second seal ring to allow high pressure air in an inflatable product connecting to the air pressure gauge to be discharged slowly and finely out of the relief-valve device.
