摘要： The disclosed device is intended to improve the cutting finish and reduce the time used to cut the remaining body portion after the standard cable tie has been finally tightened. It comprises adding a blade in the cable tie head in order to cut the remaining body portion as a result of the torsion of said body portion. It is applicable to any production process wherein the remaining body portion has to be removed by using a manual or automatic cutting tool.

摘要： A cable tie that includes an elongated tongue with two ends and two broad sides, a locking head at one end of the tongue, a tip at the other end of the tongue, and a set of ratchet teeth extending along one broad side of the tongue, wherein the locking head has sides defining an opening for receiving the tip of the tongue, the sides including a movable pawl that is hinged at one side of the opening and an abutment surface that is at least in part directly opposite across the opening from the pawl, and wherein the pawl has at least one pawl tooth disposed for engaging the set of ratchet teeth when the tip of the tongue has been inserted through the opening with the set of ratchet teeth facing the pawl, is injection molded by a method including the steps of (a) providing a mold that includes mold parts defining a cavity in the general shape of the tie, wherein one of the mold parts includes a core section defining a surface of the pawl that includes the at least one pawl tooth and at least a part of the abutment surface that is directly opposite the at least one pawl tooth; (b) injecting molten plastic material into the mold cavity; (c) solidifying the plastic material in the mold cavity to form the tie; and (d) ejecting the solidified tie from the mold; wherein step (a) includes providing a said mold in which the core section further defines a notch in the part of the abutment surface that is directly opposite the at least one pawl tooth.

摘要： A tying band cluster consists of a plurality of tying bands connected in series, end to end, in longitudinal direction. Each of the tying bands has a head portion, a projecting piece formed at one end of the head portion, and a major portion of a band body formed at the other end of the head portion. When a tying band is formed, the projecting piece of the current tying band is fused with the free end of the major portion of the previous tying band. Because the major portion of the previous tying band is left in the molding dies when the next tying band is formed, the major portion of the previous tying band is kept heated and can therefore be fused completely with the projecting piece of the tying band currently being formed. This ensures a solid connection between the tying bands.

摘要： A tamper-proof tag, made of a unitary body formed of injection molded plastic material, comprises a fastener flexibly connected to a strap, the latter being foldable into a ring with one end engageable into a catch defined at the other end of the strap. The fastener is so configured that, once received in the catch, it may be forcingly engaged into an opening defined in the strap and extending in the catch of the engaged strap. Once engaged, the fastener cannot be removed without damaging the tag.

摘要： A gun for applying cable ties includes a pinch wheel for acting on the flat tail of the tie to drive the tie from the gun, the tie being guided (as it is advanced, tail-first) around a nose loop guide. The tie finishes with its head engaged with a threader which is then lifted to lift the tie head and thus cause the tail to pass through the head aperture, become interlocked therein and project from the lower side of the head. Then the threader is lowered to lower the head and engage the projecting end of the tail with a pinch wheel which serves to tension the tie. The ties are fed from a bandolier of side-by-side ties in which they are interconnected at their heads and tail tips by continuous strips running along the edges of the bandolier, successive ties being cut from the bandolier while leaving the two strips intact.

摘要： A disposable one-piece security sealing device primarily intended to surround the neck of a bag or like package comprises a strap (1) having an enclosure (3) at one end defining a passage (4) through which the other end of the strap is irremovably insertable to an adjustable extent as a result of interaction between a plurality of teeth spaced in a row along the strap with a resiliently deformable member (4b) which is integral with the housing and situated at or adjacent a bend (4a) in the passage; characteristically an identity or pull-off tab (6) is formed as an extension of the strap around and beyond the enclosure for tearing when required along a line of weakness which extends round the enclosure (3) and terminates in a side edge of the strap. By tearing along that line the end of the strap having the tab (6) is separated from the enclosure (3). There may be two rows of teeth on the strap and the enclosure would then have a passage formed with two channels to accommodate the respective rows of teeth.
