Abstract:
A water storage unit includes an outer bag with an inlet defined in a top end thereof and an inner bag is received in the outer bag. A coolant bag is received in the inner bag and has coolant received therein. An outlet part is connected to the lower end of the outer bag and connected with a hose so that the user can suck the water in the outer bag. The water is cooled by the coolant in the coolant bag which is located at the lower end of the outer bag. A handle has a clamp slot with which a sealing rod is securely engaged. The inlet of the outer bag can be sealed by the cooperation of the clamp slot of the handle and the sealing rod.
Abstract:
A reclosable plastic bag (10) having two panels (15) of plastics sheet or film joined to each other along their opposite side edges (12) to define a bag with an opening (13). An extruded closure/sealing means (14) of one or more inter-engagable elongate rib/groove configurations (14a, 14b) closes the opening, and a plurality of elongate strengthening ribs (18) are also extruded adjacent, and parallel, to the closure/sealing means (14) on each of the panels of the bag and also inwardly and outwardly of the closure means. A plurality of shallow ribs (17) are also provided on the insides of the panels and extending parallel to said closure means and outwardly thereof to assist in gripping said panels when opening the bag, and the rib/groove configurations (14a, 14b) of the closure means (14) have a plurality of projections (19) thereon spaced apart along their length whereby during progressive engagement of the rib within its associated groove a series of audible and/or tactile signals will be provided signifying progressive closure of the closure means.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a zippered closure comprising a front zipper profile and a back zipper profile. The front and back zipper profiles each have a facing side and an attaching side. The front and back zipper profiles interlock along their facing sides. The facing side of at least one of the front and back zipper profiles is wider than its attaching side.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a wireless polymeric twist tie that has a wing portion and at least one rib portion. The polymeric twist tie is formed from a non-metallic polymeric composition. The polymeric twist tie has a tensile strength of greater than 9,000 psi and a yield strength of greater than 9,000 psi when analyzed according to the ASTM D-638 procedure.
Abstract:
A sealing system of the type in which a locking pin is received in a cavity containing a tooth that cooperates with the pin to prevent withdrawal of the pin. The object of the invention is to provide this type of seal but which is at the same time both of high security and simple to manufacture. In the system of the invention, the cavity (2) has two openings (14, 16) adjacent to each other and separated by the base 17) of the tooth (18). The cavity is otherwise totally closed and its inner wall (21), which extends to the bottom of the cavity, is curved under the base (17) of the tooth. This permits manufacture using an injection mould having a plate (39) provided with a fixed part (40) and a part (41) rotatably mounted on the fixed part to define therebetween the male mould portion for moulding a cavity with a tooth. An actuator (42) serves to rotate the rotary part (41) during opening of the mould, the rotary part (41) having a curved surface (52) corresponding to the curved part of the inner wall (21) of the cavity. Security seals and devices incorporating the new sealing system are also described.
Abstract:
A hose-shaped bag (1) is formed of a composite foil made up of a metal foil (3c) and at least one plastic foil (3a) arranged as an outer layer on an outer surface of the metal foil (3c). A weakened location is provided in the outer plastic foil (3a) produced by a thermal heat effect and affording a rated failure location. The weakened location reduces the overall mechanical strength of the composite foil (1), so that an opening member on a dispensing tool can reliably open the hose-shaped bag at this location.
Abstract:
The device which forms the object of the present invention comprises flat element (1) more than half of which is subdivided longitudinally into two parts (2 and 3). The external faces of the element (1) are provided with longitudinal grooves (4) and the internal faces are provided with longitudinal parallel ribs (5). The element (1) is embraced by a bridge piece (6) with laterally projecting wings (7) and a number of inner ribs (8) which slide within the grooves (4). To seal the opening of the container the lips of the opening are simply fitted between the two parts (2 and 3). Once in this position, the bridge piece (6) is simply pushed along by pressing the projections (7) with the fingers such that as it advances, guided by the coupling which exists between the ribs (8) and the grooves (4), it applies pressure on the opening until it is perfectly sealed, the presence of the ribs (5) eliminating any tendency of the new seal to slip.
Abstract:
A tamperproof security seal for a container and a method of manufacturing the same wherein a seal member is provided with a plurality of partition walls disposed in parallel to one another and in parallel to the end wall sections so as to define a plurality of channels extending across a width of the seal mamber. A plurality of holes are provided in each of the partition walls and in the end walls sections, with the holes extending through the partition walls and the end walls sections in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal center axis of the respective channels. The holes in the partition walls and the end walls sections are disposed in alignment so as to enable a drawstring to be threaded therethrough. Upon a crimping of the seal member, the partition walls and the end walls sections are deformed so that the openings form individual anchoring or fixing points on the drawstring so as to prevent a withdraw of the drawstring from the seal member and prevent unauthorized access to the container.
Abstract:
This invention provides a device for closing a flexible container which comprises a body portion having first and second opposed gripping arms extending therefrom. The arms are each adapted to be folded about a fold line relative to the body portion so that the arms, with the body, are capable of at least partially encircling the flexible container for closure thereof. Each of the arms has at least one gripping and engaging means extending inwardly therefrom, and the body has a first gripping and engaging means adapted to fixedly engage the flexible container in one direction and a second gripping and engaging means adapted to fixedly engage the flexible container in a second opposed direction. Means are provided in at least one of the body or arm members for passage of a tie member operatively associated therewith. The device provides a tamperproof closure for a flexible container when used in combination with a tie and deformable sealing element.
Abstract:
A U-shaped clip intended to be deformed to enclose and close the mouth of a flexible tube or bag, comprising a pair of limbs of substantially constant cross-section and a web joined to the limbs, respectively at a pair of transition points, the cross-sections of the web and transition points differing from and having a higher section modulus than the cross-section of the limbs. Advantageously the limbs are round in cross-section and the web at the middle is rectangular with rounded corners, the web changing in cross-section gradually from the middle to the transition points. Indentations may be provided on the outside of the limbs near their ends to facilitate buckling of the limbs toward one another when the clip is worked upon by a closing tool. The clips are assembled one behind the other with their limbs forming two parallel lines, constituting a magazine for supply to the closing tool.
