    摘要： Metal roofing includes metal roof-covering sheets or tiles having apertures along longitudinal end edges for coupling a pair of the sheets in an overlapping condition. One fastening arrangement comprises a fastener having a shaft extending in a longitudinal direction and fastening features at longitudinally spaced positions along the shaft. The fastening features may comprise a fastening peg or an opening receiving a fastening member therethrough. The pegs and openings may be combined in such a manner that at least two of the features cooperate with the apertures of the respective sheet in opposing transverse directions so as to longitudinally offset the apertures in the overlapping condition. Another fastening arrangement comprises a roof-covering sheet locating fastenings pegs which are spaced inward of the apertures in a longitudinal direction of the sheet so as to form the longitudinal offset between the respective sets of apertures.

The body may be movable between an uninstalled position, which defines a first offset along the longitudinal length and a second offset along the transverse width, and an installed position, which substantially closes the first offset and the second offset. In the installed position, the body abuts the mounting surface and an underside of the body is substantially planar. The tile may also include a plurality of first-angle ribs and a plurality of second-angle ribs. The first-angle ribs are offset relative to a forward edge of the body. The second-angle ribs offset relative to the forward edge of the body and also to the first-angle ribs. Furthermore, the first-angle ribs and second-angle ribs do not have shared vertices.

    摘要： A self-sealing roofing nail for reducing or preventing roof leaks. The self-sealing roofing fastener includes a pointed fastener shaft and a fastener head. A small sleeve having a rupturing shell containing a volume of sealant is disposed over the fastener shaft and adjacent the fastener head. When the self-sealing roofing fastener is driven into a structure using a hammer or a nail gun, the shell ruptures and releases the sealant between the fastener head and a structure. The released sealant seals the puncture caused by driving the roofing fastener into the structure.
